In my short life, I've had a succession of happiness and sadness, a string of achievements and of failures, many highs and many, many more lows.

Many people believe and say that the sum total of these things and events defines a person... ME as a person.

What really matters? Power? Money? Fame? Pleasure?
Why is there a general sense of insecurity? Of fear? Fear of crime fear of sickness fear of rejection fear of missing out fear of loneliness fear of lifelong commitments fear of the future fear of getting old fear of life and of death.

Where does my true identity lie? Where is my true dignity? Where is my greatness? What is the deepest truth about myself?

St John Paul II once said to a group of university professors:

"... in ciò consiste propriamente il motivo della grandezza e della dignità dell’uomo; di ogni uomo, perché l’immagine divina che è in lui, anzi che è lui, non viene mai distrutta, anche se può offuscarsi a causa della volontà prevaricatrice." - John Paul II, October 1986
