Greeting!

As the popular saying goes that " health is wealth," yes health is wealth and to be healthy is not an easy task and not by the word of mouth alone. But to stay health, you must work it out. This means one must be proactive and sensitive to his or her body system to maintain good health and healthy living.

Hmmm, habit on the other hand is our daily activities. Something we do almost everyday either bad or good, positive or negative to better or to destroy our lives and that of others staying around us. Our habit might be the in the way we dress, talk, eat. It may even be in our character and so on. Now one thing we should not joke with is our health this means, we must cultivate a very good habit in maintaining our health so as to live long and stay healthy.

So, seeing this week prompt on the ladies of hive, I was happy and this topic is now prompting me to write on those habits of mine that have been keeping me healthy while busy. My go to habit? What are they? I will like to just mention three of my go to habit which I have been carrying out consistently and that has now become part of me. These my going to habit has been keeping healthy and I thank God for that. The first among my "go to habit" is cleanliness, the second is eating good and nutritious fruit and food and the third and the last one is exercise.

First and foremost, I will like to talk about my first to go habit that has been keeping healthy and that is cleanliness. Cleanliness as we all know is to Godliness. To maintain my good healthy, I have decided to cultivate a very clean habit in my day to day activities. This I do just to make me healthy and also to prevent me and my body from invention. As the saying goes, " prevention is better than cure," that means, we must always prevent our body system from infection that can be caused when our home and environment is dirty. So, what do I do? I always make i make everything and everywhere in my abode clean, my clothing are always neat, even at my place of work, I always see to the cleanliness of my school environment. How do I do this, I always make sure, the student clean the staff toilet and theirs too, cut the bush around and burn the bush at the dumping ground. Why do I see to the cleaning of the toilet? This is because it's a general toilet and using it may make me get infested. So, I don't joke with the cleaning. Even my toilet at home always sparkle. What of my kitchen? I used to make sure all the dishes are washed after use and properly arranged in the plate rack. All furniture surfaces are well cleaned and my clothing washed, pressed and properly arrange. Also, I clean the the gutter and cut the bush around me, just to prevent being bitten by snake and other dangerous animals. So one of the ways of my staying healthy is cleanliness.

Also, another of my go to habit is taking good and nutritious food and fruit. You know, while growing up, I don't really like taking food and fruit and my mum used to complain alot. But that was then, now I take good food and fruit. Though what I'm now taking is not in large quantity but of good quality. So, I take good food that is well prepared in an hygienic environment. I even have timetable on what to take everyday. But what I love taking too much is beans and plantain. I love taking proteinous food with lots of vegetables and fruit. In the morning, I take soft food like pap and moimoi or akara. Atimes I take 2 slices of bread and boiled egg. In the afternoon, from like 12pm to 3pm I do take swallows or wrapped food such as eba, amala, meat or fish with lots of vegetables and fruit. And in the night, I used to take soft food as well and this is before 7pm in the evening just to stay healthy. I used to take the dinner very early in the evening just to aid quick digestion and this has really helped me in maintaining my good healthy. In the past that I used to take dinner late in the night, I don't feel healthy and i used to be heavy and belch alot. But now, I used to be free and light. That's the benefit of eating dinner early enough just to state healthy. So, taking much fruit and vegetables with well prepared proteinous food has become part of me and I'm now staying healthy. Even in my compound, I have fruit planted by me and as well vegetables. In most times, I don't buy all these thing. In my compound, I have pawpaw planted at one side, I just planted plantain and cassava, there's oranges as well. So, all these has really helped me in staying healthy.


Lastly, another thing that has been keeping me healthy is exercise, one thing I do every morning is push up and on Saturdays, I do jog like 10km every morning all thses is to stay healthy. Atimes, I trekked to school, and sweat which is a way of burning out the fat in my body. Another form of exercise I used to do is dancing. I love dancing. Though before now, I didn't know that dancing is a form of exercise not until I went to a seminar and we were told that dancing is a form of exercise and since then, I downloaded music on my phone and while playing it, I dance to it and sweat. Another thing I used as a form of exercise and that has become my go to habit is to tend my garden which at every evening, I have taken it upon myself to wet the plant and do the weeding. Cycling is another form of exercise I love so much, and it's been keeping fit and healthy. Doing all these things have become my go to habit and has been helping to stay healthy.
