Nobody is born good enough

Nobody is born good enough

Hello friends of this community; Today I want to share something fundamental for me, it is a philosophy that guides my life, which is “no one is born good enough”, we become good through practice, study, constant training, it is not even magic, nor an innate talent, it is an ability that is trained and built with effort and dedication.

Since I started to see it like that, I stopped questioning myself so much, it allowed me to carry out my projects that before only floated around here in my mind, and here is the key, even if you know a lot about a topic, you have a lot of knowledge about something If you don't put it into practice then it's of no use, you need at least to take the first step to feel capable or at least trust that you are on the path to achieve it, without that trust it is very difficult to get started.

Think about this, if you have never had the habit of reading and suddenly pick up a book, it is very easy to think "why am I going to start if I never finish the books?" They change because one day we feel ready but because we take the step and build that skill day after day, with perseverance.

And lately I was being very routine, I like to live calmly and I like things simple, however, I feel that I have left that part of me that at the same time likes to innovate and do new things, start new projects, meet new people, in the In recent weeks I have felt a very strong need to develop my artistic side a little more because I fell into the idea that if you want to be a successful adult you must focus on the important things, but I think that this is a big lie because the artistic side is fundamental to see the world from another perspective and I am not here alone to talk about the importance of developing the artistic side.

A while ago I decided to get back to my creativity and I still felt a big barrier, a big mental barrier because I had spent so much time without trying, without drawing, that I told myself that “it wasn't my thing” “that I didn't have that talent to do it.” that", but I remembered something that I always defend, and that is that you are not born good at something but you become good at it, so I decided to give myself that opportunity to demonstrate to myself this philosophy that I promote so much and that has helped me so much.

Obviously the first time I drew a leaf, everything went wrong, I tried to draw a strawberry and it looked horrible and I got very frustrated, at that moment I had a revelation that clarified everything, of course you are not good at this, you have never studied, not even practiced, it's the first time you try something like this, so how can you expect it to turn out perfect, I was putting very high expectations on myself, for something I had never tried and that didn't make any sense so I decided to give myself more opportunities, have more patience and see this from a new perspective perspective, accepting that she was a beginner.

Instead of getting frustrated I went back to the basics as someone who is learning from scratch, every week I practice a little; These things are like hobbies that we don't think much about just because of our limited thinking that we need to be born with the talent that we must naturally be good at, to do something complex well, you first have to understand the basics, you can't wait to make a drawing. detailed without knowing how to make a straight line or a simple line.

The above applies to everything, if you are learning to play a new instrument you need to first understand how musical notes work before starting with a complicated song, in mathematics the same, you cannot solve advanced problems if you do not know how to add, subtract, multiply, divide , accepting that you need to start from the simplest is essential to improve anything.

Many times pride makes us resist starting from scratch, no one likes to start from scratch and be a beginner, we want to be good immediately without accepting that every person who is an expert in something was once a beginner to really become good, we need assume that apprentice mentality, willing to make mistakes, to repeat the same thing until it turns out right.

It's like a child who learns to write. His first letters are big and messy, but little by little he improves until he can write complete words and accepting that process not only takes the pressure off of you, but also allows you to enjoy every little progress, every step. What you give becomes a firm foundation to move towards something much bigger in the future, so be a beginner of what you crave.
