Ladies and gentlemen, the #ladiesofhive #79 question
Statistically, women tend to be more spiritual than men. From whatever faith — Protestant, Catholic, Muslim, Buddhist, Wiccan, or other — how did it become your faith? What delights, insights, and joys have you discovered?
To a very large extent I agree with this topic. Although salvation and spirituality should be a personal thing and in marriage it should be both parties fighting it out on thier knees spiritually. But it is what it is, women are always the more spiritual ones in most cases.
I could give a ton on examples with women who are close to me, although one factor makes this trend to be so, which is the fact that mothers are the nurtures of the home, and so they are the ones the children most often look to for guidance and instructions, so women take it upon themselves to make sure what ever faith or form of spirituality they practice is inculcated into their kids. Men too can be spiritual or are spiritual, but they do so in their own subtle way probably because they know that the women are spare heading the movement tenaciously.
My mother for example was the zealous one when we were growing up, not that my father wasn’t as spiritual but I came to understand that he just let her do all the pushing and praying and spiritual exercises for the home because she was really zealous about it and wanted to be a shining example for her kids, while supporting her as she does. We all had it at the back of our minds that my dad was the prophet of the home and my mum the assistant but like every aspect of life the assistants are always more proactive and carry out most of the assignment.
My mum will wake everyone up as early as 6am that was devotion time, we would pray, sing, worship, and then we would study the word, all in one hour. If she doesn’t do it, I bet everyone would be glad to sleep in that day, and it rarely happens so, only on few occasions where she travels will my daddy now step in and call for morning amd night devotion.
As a wife of a home myself, I find myself doing according to how I was raised, making sure my kneels are always on the ground, praying for my marriage, securing my home and our lives in the hands of my God, it’s not that my partner doesn’t know how to or isn’t as spiritual but he does his in a subtle way while I do mine just the way I was raised to, with so much zeal and passion.
I attend Pentecostal church, although those are just Christian denominations, my faith is Christianity, more like my faith is in Christ Jesus, who is my lord and personal saviour. As a child I attended Bible school, there we were groomed for Christ. Taught what was wrong from right and how to live and behave according to God’s standards in his word which is the Bible.
But that isn’t always enough, that is just a good foundation for every Christian child. Inshort one can say at that point a child is being made to accept what ever faith is presented to him or her by their parents.
As one grows older you can now get to decide and choose whom to serve or what to believe in. And that is what It was for me as I grew older. I chose to get born again, I choose to accept Jesus into my life as my lord and savior, I chose to pursue the things of God and seek his kingdom first.
At this point it’s no longer the faith my parents presented to me but the faith I have chosen to believe in and run with for the rest of my life. To live a ZOE LIFE(God kind of life)
My delight is in the Lord, who made the heavens and the earth, His words are ye and amen, they are true and they never return to Him without accomplishing the purpose.
I have found joy, peace and comfort in my faith in Christ Jesus. The knowledge of His word (the Bible) brings light into my life and every other chaos and challenges becomes still and are subject to His word.
I have come to know that He loves me and that love was demonstrated for me when He died on the cross for my sins and for the salvation of my soul. His love I see daily in my life affairs, it’s not something I can explain via typing but I can say for a fact that I see His love all around me and my life daily. He daily loads me with his benefits. I have also come to realize that it pays to serve Him, and no matter what I face in life, He is there with me, and because I face certain challenges or loss or pains doesn’t make Him less of the might God that He is. Rather it only tells me that the struggle I face isn’t the end because everything must give glory to His name and if His name hasn’t been glorified yet in that situation or challenge then it is not the end yet.
I can go on and on and on, but one joy I have come to know is that, God is good and his mercies endureth forever and ever.
I hope this posts reaches out to someone today. Jesus loves you all and so do I

Though in my home, it's different, my dad is the one always pushing, maybe cause my mum is quite reserved. What's important is the unity in faith.
Thanks for sharing❤️
Exactly
Unity in faith
For most African families it is usually the woman who goes on her knees ooo, although in certain cases, the man takes the lead here.
The most important thing is one faith to support the other.
Yes it is

I completely agree with this topic. In this part of the world, its almost as if praying is a woman's thing.
I loved every bit of this post❤
❤️❤️❤️❤️ thanks lover girl
It's mostly women who constantly go on the kneel to intercede for the family. My husband will always say " no shaking, I know you are always praying for us"
I am glad you are playing a good role just as you were raised. Our hope is in Christ and Him alone will attend to all our predicaments both now and later.
Thanks for reminding me that Jesus loves me.
Awwwn thank you nkem

The Lord is good all the times and his mercy endures forever. Women are very powerful in in prayers, churches today are filled up with women. Men contributes but women own are more. Some will tell you that they fear nothing because there mama prayers covers them.

Well said
Thanks 🙏
Welcome 🤗
God answers women better. Woman with the issue of blood and so many others
Lol you think ??
I agree with the topic too but lot of women has taken it to the extreme, and neglecting their homes in the process Especially the night vigils .
Well like you said salvation is Personal race, who am i to judge these actions 🙄
Lol
I cam imagine those types of women
I think men tend to express their Spirituality in a sober, logical, cognitive fashion, God judges spirituality by the heart more than by the actions anyway.
A great testimonial @reineesmay , may our Lord continue to bless you.
Amen
Thank you 😊
