2️⃣ Name three ways you build your online friendships! What do you specifically look for? Similarities in personality, culture, gender, guidance, learning, growth in communications, or something more?

All of us wish so many things, literally on daily basis !! But when it comes to narrow down it down to 3 , you go.....

So here I am @Raka, a t-shirt and shirt seller on meesho, planning to start my new brand in 2022, a singer(on personal level), a cook not chef and a dreamer. I too wish of so many things starting from learning coding, learning painting, doing gardening, making my own compost, starting a food joint to starting my own brands in apparel and food sector.

But what do I want to prioritize in 2022??

A few days back I saw a news about Thwaites glacier which is usually referred to Doomsday Glacier. This glacier in Antarctica started melting many years ago but what shocked me is this glacier will collapse within 5 years and now its too late to reverse the process. This is going to effect international borderlines as many cities will go underwater and it will unleash complete chaos in world.

I cannot go and make the government bodies understand that climate change is real.!! We cannot reverse it or stop it but atleat we can slow down the process.!!

Charity Begins At Home. Right?? So here goes my three wishes.

1.GROW MY OWN VEGETABLES

My father used to work in a government organization, so we lived in a quarter which had a huge garden in front of the house and in the backyard. We all used to do the gardening chores, it was my favorite family time. We literally just used to buy wheat, rice, milk, egg, fish, and meat. Vegetables were enough for the four of us from our gardens.

20 years have passed but I am unable to grow my own veggies for some reason or the other. But in 2022 it is done and decided.

WHY??

More plants means less pollution. If I grow all my vegetables my meat consumption will go way down and because of that carbon dioxide production wl be reduced.

Veggies we buy from market have all kind of pesticides and chemicals. Yes there are organic but I am a bit skeptical about it, I mean about its purity. So better grow your own.

I read in a book "ikigai", in Japan, " Okinawa " is a place where world's highest number of centenarians live. What they do, you ask?? They grow their vegetables.

Pesticides and chemical free are bonuses. When you grow your own vegetables you know, you actually know what you are eating. You have that confidence on that food that yes it is the best I can get because I sow it, I grow eat and I am living it. A person is what he eats.

2. HARVESTING RAIN WATER & SOLAR ENERGY

Again when I was a little girl and in holiday season we would travel by train for 2 days to visit my grandparents (mother's parents), which was a remote village where electricity had not reached yet. For me it was like I time travel to a different era and I liked I so much that I would wait for this homecoming the whole year.

I am still fascinated by the fact that in summers too I didi not feel hot without a fan. There were no mobile phones yet which needed to be charged. Still for the minimal use of electricity, mainly during night 🌙 we had solar panel on the roof, which got charged the whole day and produce light at night. There was just one small solar panel so the light produced was very dim and would die till the morning. (Mind blown by the very little dependence on the electricity)

But now with technological advancement solar panels give more than just night lamps. If one plans accordingly it can supply the electricity needs of the whole house.

Till date I have not lived in any state where we pay for the water usage. But when I went to south India for my internship, I first learnt about water bill. This was because of water shortage in that state as there are less rivers in that state and the dam constructed to control the water flow is situated in another nearby state. So yeah sometimes when water shortage hits it affects the other one more(the state where the dam is not situated). This is the time when it hits me that water has become a service now.

Next thing is borewell. If not river we take ground water and use in all kind of things starting from personal use to corporate uses.

So yes in 2022 I want to atleast initiate this process of harvesting rain water and solar energy.

WHY??

We just cannot keep relying on electricity and keep talking about emission, pollution and mainly climate change. We just cannot keep sucking water from ground. It effects the trees, animals, microorganisms etc. In short its effecting the whole ecosystem. Trees are literary drying and dying. The soil fertility is degrading day by day due to this.

3. EVERY PERSON STARTS DOING 1 & 2

That's straight forward and simple. If every individual starts doing these eco-friendly practices we will definitely be successful in preserving and nurturing our mother earth. And in return she will too nurture us.

Our mother earth is so strong that if we just stop our mal practices she can heal herself.
