I'm taking part on Ladies of Hive community contest for the very first time and they asked:
"Scenario 1: A reputation 52 friend says that she no longer wants to be active in Hive, claiming that she can't make the time, the coin is so low valued, and only a few people ever read her posts. What could you do to encourage and help her to keep trying? Writing tips? Time management? Other?"
I felt like I had to write about this, because if my friend would tell me that they are frustrated on any of those matters, I would totally just support them to do what feels best for them.
Because is it really friendship if I need to downplay their feelings? Make her to continue when I know that if I would be in the same situation, I would just want support, not pep talk about how its going to be okay if you just do X.
If I can`t support my friend when they are feeling like that, can I really call myself a friend?
The harsh reality is that 90-95% who are upvoting over here will not actually read or comment your posts, so the feeling is valid in my opinion and it can be soul crushing if you actually are looking to build community. If you feel like you have higher number than that, then I must tip my hat off as that is rare.
So my friend wants to quit and I will totally support her on her journey. But of course I do have recommendations for her account.
Girl, don´t delete your account or down power, because you might change your mind at some point.
Let´s just Dlease your HP, you will get 10-16% APR and let´s convert all possible loose Hive into HBD, put it on savings and you will have 20% APR. And boom. Now the account you don´t want to use anymore will bring you yearly 30 - 46% APR. Just log in once a month to move assets around and you don´t need to do anything else.
So why I´m giving this type if advise and not make her carry on?
Because I myself get yearly depression and sometimes even yearly burnout. I know exactly how impossible it´s to produce anything when feeling any negative emotions and if someone would be pressing me on, it would just make us end our friendship and not in a pretty way.
Yes, when you just come and go on Hive, your account will suffer and some people will unfollow you and not even give you upvotes anymore.
But who cares, they were not your real friends to begin with.
So girl, you do you as long it makes you feel good.
That is all that matters.
Thank you for reading my likely very unpopular opinion in this matter.
One could take a pragmatic and business like approach to Hive. Not everyone is suited to be a Blogger or writer. Perhaps her participation as an Investor into the Blockchain is a good option and let her capital work for her earning a passive income. But with the buzz that goes around Leofinance she may slowly come about to engage there. There's always something to learn simply in engagement.
Thanks for the entry @pauliinasoilu 🌼
Absolutely, blogging is not suitable for everyone as it can get mentaly tough. There is nothing wrong on investing into the platform.
Smiles...this is a nice encouragement and I really hope it will help a friend on this line

I'm glad you decided to join the contest!
A weekly prompt is provided to us via the weekly contest, but you can also post any article that you want.
Don't forget to engage the others. Others just post an article, leave, and expect others to comment on it, yet they don't engage others in their articles.
Thanks for sharing!Hello @pauliinasoilu!
All things being equal this post would really help someone out there. Sometimes, the burden gets too much to bear and if you want to follow the crowd, you'd loose yourself.
It's worthy to note that some people on hive have a flexible day to day life but most don't and if you're part of the 'most' and the burden is too much then you should follow your heart. If your heart says"take a break" you really should listen.
Cheers🥂✨
Yes! We all live so different day to day lives that it can get tricky to daily blog or even just upvote!
I've been there so I totally understand.
Have a great day @pauliinasoilu ✨

LOH
tokens.@pauliinasoilu, You have received 1.0000 LOH for posting in Ladies of Hive. We believe that you should be rewarded for the time and effort spent in creating articles. The goal is to encourage token holders to accumulate and hodl LOH tokens over a long period of time.
Oh wow! This is just so realistic and touches the real aspect of things! I also have those days that I just can't deal and telling me to work harder is just futile. So, I totally agree with you here. But if she does ask me what she can do, I would totally give her some other advice. Bravo! I enjoyed reading this because it was personal and not just something written for people to read.
Thank you so much! I agree with you. If she would ask for advice, I would give it. But if the feeling is "I dont want to continue", then there is just support from my part.
Great!
Hi friend, your opinion is important. it is a matter of decision of the friend, according to how she feels...telling her to be patient is not for everyone.
I live in patience...
Regards
In the end, we all have to do what works best for us. If it means leaving Hive (at least for a time), so be it. If we close one door, another door opens for us to go through.
Regarding your friend, all the suggestions you offered are good. There's more to Hive than posting, and you raised the good point of leasing HP. Get that HP working for a change.
If posting or even commenting is still an option, maybe you could share tips and strategies which worked for you to get you past the periods of doubt and minimal feedback. It's a numbers game, so we need to find ways to make the numbers work in our favor. I'm still trying to figure things out here, myself, but I know enough to keep at it even if its with hundreds or reblogs and upvotes.
In the event your friend decides to stop being active, go with the DeFi path and make the HP and HBD grow and compound. It beats the bank!
Passive earning is also a very good advice if one does not want to write, but that will only happen when one has some balance to fetch some returns
Our day to day schedules are different, so I believe we all have to do what's best for us. I love your post, it will really help someone. Thank for sharing this with us
and I wholeheartedly agree - be a great friend first and foremost and if you can help her keep her account and re-commence blogging down the track then awesome.@pauliinasoilu, I love this response. I love what we're building here on Hive

This has given me a new view of looking at thing, cause its not everyone that can go on when they see that what they put their time and effort doing is not appreciated or valued.
Sometimes people need to take a break, breathe and maybe come back better.
Nice work👍
Yes, some of us just can't do it, and it's totally okay ❤️
It's good to show the different possibilities, and now Hive has so many other options other than blogs like this that it's worth looking for what is the best option before completely giving up.
I have some friends that I told to write but they never do, and I don't push them, even though I do think they would do great here. And yes, we can go and come... my account was created in 2018, I left, then came back after the creation of Hive, my first post properly on Hive was in 2020, and I've been off at least 10 months of my two years here now 😅 so yeah, there is no need to push if it is a bad experience... take distance and rethink the approach is good too.
Thanks for sharing your point of view!
Thank you for your thoughtful reply 💕
