Sometimes, when I hear that some women are going through some health conditions, I always want to make my findings and later get to realize that they are suffering from breast cancer. As far as I know, this is one of the worst diseases that a woman can ever have. Also, it is life threatening and I can’t count how many women who have lost their lives to this deadly disease.
We are in Pink month, a month in which we must reflect on self-care to face one of the worst diseases in the world — breast cancer. Tell us how you take care of yourself. Do you keep your preventive exams up to date? What do you think about this disease?
This made me remember when I first heard about breast cancer. There was a time when it was trending here in Nigeria and it killed so many women within a period of time so when I wake up in the morning, I always make sure to inspect my breast so I can check for any lump. I know this may not be enough test but one thing is certain that it can help to tell me when I’m beginning to have lumps in my breast and that’s one of the main symptom of breast cancer.
I don’t get to do this every morning again but I always make sure to do it whenever I remember and that happens at least, twice a month.
My dear ladies, if truly I want to celebrate the pink month with you all, I’d love to keep you updated and also remind you that breast cancer is real and let’s try so hard to fight it so it doesn’t become the end of us.
