A New Course to Southern Brazil!

Hello everyone. Today I want to share something very personal, but it's the driving force behind a big decision: few people here have read about my journey as a migrant, leaving my country (Venezuela) with my children, a long three-day bus journey to reach Brazil. But! I'm moving to southern Brazil with my two children in search of better opportunities.

I know many of you are following me, and I want to be completely honest about the reason for this step.

The Day-to-Day Battle

My current situation since arriving in Manaus has become unbearable. Living here has become unaffordable. The struggle isn't limited to just getting rent money, a somewhat expensive rent that I've been struggling tirelessly to cover for months while my income remains stagnant. Although I struggle daily with small jobs that I can get daily.

What's truly exhausting and costly is an avalanche of fixed expenses that, combined with the high cost of rent, have rendered our stability nil. It's impossible to save or plan when 80% of your income goes to keeping a roof over your head. The problem we face isn't just the high rent, but the constant burden of other expenses that housing entails. Electricity, internet, water, gas, and condo fees: Other fixed services that consume a huge portion of my income. To top it all off, the air conditioning recently broke down, and the owner of the apartment expected me to cover the cost of the repair. It was an unexpected and frustrating financial blow that further highlighted how unsustainable this situation is. This accumulation of fixed expenses prevents us from saving and keeps me in a cycle of debt.

  • I know that education comes first, and one of the things that has frustrated me most since we arrived in Brazil is that my children haven't been able to study. The lack of timely documentation meant that enrollment was closed and they were excluded from the school year. This was another big motivation for this trip. We need stability and normalcy in our lives.

Our Plan: Curitiba in January

I've set my sights on Curitiba (Paraná), a city with a reputation for its good infrastructure, job market, and opportunities for a better quality of life and safety. And to ensure my children start the new school year without problems, the plan is to travel in January. The information I have is crucial: the school year in southern Brazil begins in February. This means I need to be in Curitiba a month early to sort out the rent, process documents, and obtain residency. My main objective is to be on time to secure a spot for them at school and ensure they're seated in a classroom by February.

  • Our Goal Is to Stay in Brazil!
I want to make one thing very clear: this trip is not a temporary solution; it's a life project. We're going to Curitiba to settle permanently in Brazil. I'm looking to build a solid foundation, where my work translates into progress and stability, not just paying off debts.
  • The stress of this constant struggle has finally taken its toll on my health. I'm currently dealing with a severe cold, flu, fever, and vomiting that has kept me completely inactive.

  • My children and I

  • A batalha do dia a dia.

  • Nosso Objetivo é Ficar no Brasil!

O estresse dessa luta constante finalmente afetou minha saúde.

  • Meus filhos e eu.

@monachta...

As I look over your post, the first thing that captures my eye is the smiles of your children. I know this is what makes life worth living... not always easy, however. I know we sometimes hesitate to enjoy the moments we are living in between all the chaos and uncertainty. It is human nature NOT to want to enjoy every little moment. For fear of the bubble popping... I also understand poor health, as my issues sometimes take center stage, and my "everything else I want to do" goes on the back burner. But I do know this... You are striving to make a difference! In your life, and more importantly? Your children's lives. I am sending you all the positive energy, love, and healing that I have. You WILL complete the things you are trying to do. I refuse to think any differently! Keep smiling and please let us know how you are all doing...

I hope the stress soon relents and your health improves quickly. You are doing a fantastically brave thing, and your and your kids' lives will get so much better as you work toward your goals!

I tell myself: effort makes the work, work sets the goals. It's a pleasure to greet you here, my friend.

Likewise, my friend!

!PIMP

That pic of you and your children is lovely! I hope things will settle for your beautiful family soon! ❤️

Thank you, Kitty. I'm very grateful for your support.

It's tough for anyone to make a life in Canada too. Even though we are a first world country, our government policies over the last ten years have squandered our prosperity into an inflationary debt burdened economy. Even a typical Masters Graduate pays 2/3rds of her monthly salary just to rent a small apartment, she doesn't have kid yet. She can't live off what is left of hr salary.
I hope to God you get good break or opportunity to get ahead for yourself and you kids. 🙏

Thank you, my friend, for your kind wishes. It's regrettable what's happening in your country; my country is still in decline, and there's no distinction between professions, with the same salary for everyone.

Never ever give up try your best in life here is some !PIZZA
