RE: Stuff for Sundays

in Ladies of Hive2 years ago

After seeing those pancakes, I'm having second thoughts about my scrambled eggs and Costco biscotti. I may have to try your recipe, but I would substitute soybean oil in place of the grass-fed butter (Not!). I'm becoming convinced that the way to be healthy is to eat more foods made from scratch and made at home, just like those pancakes. I thought I could buy from the bakery section at the supermarket but, even there, the list of ingredients in a simple roll is too long and too tiny in print to even comprehend. Keep sharing things like this.

Very nice! I've been baking sourdough bread and plan to add other breads and pretzels, but now my wife gave up "carbs" for Lent. I'm making my own ice cream too, since the vast majority sold in supermarkets contains bioengineered food ingredients. I made a pretty tasty Mexican chocolate ice cream, and vanilla with shaved milk chocolate.

One of these days I'll try making ice cream!
