As for myself, I am part Chinese and I respect and resonate with celebrating my past ancestors similar to ‘All Souls’ Day since the Chinese culture essentially practices the same thing.
My Grandmother annually gathers family, arranges for food, lights a number aromatic Joss sticks, we visit, tidy, decorate the graves of our late family members and share stories of outstanding ancestors, set out food offerings to our ancestral spirits asking for their blessings upon their descendants to flourish and thrive in the future. Often a picnic meal follows and Red envelopes of money are handed out to family minors.
