Hopefully it doesn't take most women too long, like your friend said, from the wedding night onward. Most guys like it when their woman is free around them and not ashamed or afraid.
I would suspect that a lot of women have had to endure some form of body shaming at some point, and have esteem issues, or else they just have esteem issues period, and aren't comfortable in their own body enough to be free, they feel that they are too big or too skinny. I wish they would all be free for their husbands, but unfortunately not always the case.
