My Introduction to Hive

Hello, Hive community,
I'm Divine Jachy, a young woman getting to know what it feels like to be a lady with personal issues, fighting hard to build a career for myself through my handy skills. I'm currently a microbiology student at the University of Ilorin. Others may describe microbiology as the study of micro-organisms but to me, it will always be an insight into what it feels to be tiny with specs that make you unique.

So it would be impolite of me to move with this introduction without giving a shoutout to the guy that brought me on board. Like we used to say during secondary school debates, "let's give honor to whom honor should be given unto". Therefore, shoutout to @samostically for introducing me to a platform that allows you to be yourself and market your brand by telling us the story behind it. I'm yet to get rewards since I'm still a newbie but from my research and @samostically track records, it's guaranteed that I can become influential as long as I keep up with the consistency and engage with the community.

A Short Story About Me
I was born on the 24th of January into a family of three, two girls and a single boy. Thereby giving me an older sister and brother. So it's a no-brainer that I'm the last born and I am saying this from the bottom of my heart, it no longer comes with benefits. I used to get special treatments from my parent for being the last born, taken care of like an egg, and left to do nothing. But recently I have to be honest, it's no longer juicy as I thought it will always be. Now, my older siblings are all grown-ups, which means they are adults who have their apartments and they get to live their lives without any interference from my parents. Leaving me all alone with my parents and as expected the chores have all become mine. I get to stay at home since everyone sees me as fragile and still young or like they will say "you are still the baby of the home"

Using the zodiac signs attached to the 12 months of the year, you can describe me as AQUARIUS. I'm yet to confirm if u truly exhibit the characteristics attached to an AQUARIUS, which are:

1. Innovative
2. Loyal
3. Original

But come to think of it, it might be true cause whenever I do a self-realization checkup on myself, I do exhibit these traits. I'm an innovative person, cause tell me, why will someone venture into a course that requires the study of micro-organisms and still feel there is something strange about organisms that people have not discovered yet? Next, I always do my best to stay loyal to my siblings even though they left all of me alone with my parents, but who can blame them? They have to move on with their lives. And finally, I'm the best when you talk about originality, which I tend to prove with the contents I will be dishing out on this platform.

My Skillset
Being an undergraduate at a Federal University in Nigeria, the news of students being on strike for a while now is no longer a surprising factor, which has pushed students like me to venture into other areas of life to gain skills and stay relevant. So I decided to go back to complete my training in making weaves and facial make-up for feminine beautification. I know nothing everyone has that time to go to the salons to change the hair on their head but they can give out time from their busy schedule to put on their wigs. This has always been the motto for gaining hairstyling skills, and if you think about it, women need to look beautiful, that's why I'm here for you.

In my blog, I will be talking about things relating to women and the struggles women face regularly in a society made up of stereotypes.
More so, @samostically also informed me that there is a special community on hive that sponsors women and women's products. Therefore I will make it my obligation to be a part of this community and grow with them.
