Hello Hive community,
It's your girl @Jachy
It's been a while right?
I have just been busy with hairstyling stuff, but guess what........
ASUU has called off their strike and I will be going back to school. This strike started February 14 and ended October 14 (8 months), I remember in one of my videos I called it an Epidermic right, well this so-called epidemic is over. Today I'm not here to talk about ASUU and all of that but rather about a very common syndrome.
Marriage immediately after school for ladies.
When this topic popped into my cerebral cortex, I just knew I have to share it with the Hive Community.
Firstly, this issue is very common for ladies.
Parents, friends, neighbors, and even enemies tend to pressurize a newly graduated lady into getting married which shouldn't be so.
A newly graduated lady is supposed to think about what's next in her life, like getting a career, owning a business, making a name for herself, and all of that Rather she asked questions like
When will you get married?
or
When will you bring your fiance home? And so on.
Come on, At least let her rest for a while after school.
Also, as ladies and builders of nations, we deserve that time to first of all focus on our passion. For instance, I love the entire concept of hairstyling and making wigs so much that I am more than willing to learn it. And not only that, but I'm also doing my utmost best to make waves with it while being creative in the process. I know there are millions of hairstylists out there and nail techs too, but I am more than certain I will stand out, and mine will have a unique touch. So ladies, if you discover you have a passion for things like fashion designing, graphic designing, shoe making, and catering and never got time to pursue them, well this will be the right time to do that and not jump into an unplanned marriage due to peer pressure.
Secondly,
Ladies can go into technology, we have heard and seen so many ladies making waves in this area. The world is civilized now and going into tech will fetch you good money if you give it your best. Ladies, you can take or register for these courses online and get busy, giving you more time to think and plan about marriage.
Furthermore, there is tourism, if you have the money you can visit places and learn also. You know this is one of my plans after school, I want to visit different places, know more about their food, way of living, do's and don'ts and many more. Kenya has always been on my mind, seeing animals, Nairobi, their museum, and all. It will be so much fun, I can feel it. During this process, you will make friends or even meet the right person for you to marry.
In addition, becoming an entrepreneur is not a bad idea after school, you look at your environment and check what are their needs and demands, and I must tell you this is where Economics comes into play. You check for what your environment lacks and you provide it. For example, in an area that lacks clean and hygienic seafood, you could decide to provide one in a presentable way and start to market it, and with the help of technology, you can take it online too. This is another idea to explore before marriage.
More so, there is also an option for you to use your certificate to get a job and start earning. While working you set your goals and what you want to achieve while getting prepared for marriage. Dear ladies, you can also go out, live life, eat good food, and hang out with friends. This really helps a lot.
Finally, men don't like liabilities as a wife instead they want a lady who's an asset, adds value, stands out, and is willing to boost the marriage.
Sincerely, I hope this write-up was helpful and made an impact as well, you can drop your opinion in the comment section.

Wow, this is a beautiful post dear sure the world is digital now and as a lady, we should all learn a digital skill or anyone of our choice as that will add value to us.
Your writeup is indeed helpful. For me, I have been pressurized by my maternal grandmother to go and get married on time and I just graduated and such step isn't on my mind now as I need to focus on my career first and be great.
I wouldn't want to be a liability to my man and for this reason, let me enjoy my single life while I keep making name for myself.
Thanks for sharing 😍
Recently, I’ve noticed that marriage after Uni for most ladies is almost out of the window.
Love to see that a lot of women are prioritizing themselves, trying to be better people and putting their careers first before even thinking about marriage contrary to what happens before.
The whole ASUU matter is just tiring abeg, I’m not even excited it’s been called off, but whatever.
Happy resumption and see you hopefully in the better by far Uni👀😂
Yea.
I wouldn't agree any less with what you said. I am also happy that marriage after uni is gradually becoming a thing outside the window. And for the whole ASUU mess, I am not too excited as well but what can I do. I have to finish what I started.
