Ladies of Hive Community Contest #64 | Be Grateful

I recently joined #LadiesofHIVE community and a weekly basis, there would be 2 questions that we're given a choice to choose to answer. To know more of this week's question, check out the LINK here.

Between both questions, I decided to choose Question 1️⃣ because life is about being grateful.

At this very moment, I'm really grateful that I'm employed; because being employed means I am able to provide food on the table for my family, give them a roof over their heads, have the education environment that they require, have a reliable health insurance and the unlimited endless 💕📲. Unfortunately, being so far, I'm only able to give them material appreciation which is something that I didn't understand before when my other friends told me - those who were in the same 👠 as me. And now, after being away from home for more than 2.5 years, I truly understand their actions because that is exactly what I'm doing.

2021 was a year of tech for our family. Birthday & Christmas 🎁 were 💻 🖥 🐭 🎧 .. I'll admit I'm spoiling them but Daddy's the culprit too, you know. So, yeah.. I'm really grateful that I have a stable job in hand, at least until Oct 2023 when my contract expires. Till then, while I can afford to be a bit spendthrift for the family & myself, it is also important to practice healthy safekeeping for the rainy days as we never know when the change of weather will happen.

I used to be very careful in my expenses and trust me, I still am; but I realised that I also need to pamper myself a bit while I'm away if not all this sacrifice of being away from my family will go to waste. I need to shower myself with some 💗 too if not I may turn into an ugly 🐤 very soon.

So for now, I'm grateful for being a white collar worker 😀. Is this the same for you ?
