Surprise Planning: Where Stress Meets Joy

in Ladies of Hive9 days ago

Pheewwww, whoever said planning a surprise is easy lied to us because planning surprises is really really hard! They’re way harder than the result we see and gush over. It’s safe to say people who plan surprises effortlessly are the real deal! They are geniuses and they deserve their flowers.

On Sunday, I planned a mini surprise for my friend, and guys, I ended up surprising myself! The surprise blew up in my freaking face!!

Surprises are great, yeah? But putting them together can be super stressful. The stress, planning, fear, anxieties, and everything in between can be pretty nerve-wracking, but the result is always worth it. Watching the person light up as they take in every bit of the surprise is heartwarming and it makes all the stress worth it.

Pulling off the surprise was pretty hard, but yeah, I did, and I love how it turned out.

I visited my friend’s city on Saturday and decided to visit her. She’s a very good friend of mine, and we haven’t seen each other in what feels like forever, so appearing at her doorstep was the best surprise that I could think of.

On Sunday I got ready, asked my friend to act like a dispatch rider with a package for her to be delivered at her house, but it turned out she was not home. Sadly, I was already on my way, given that I knew her schedule for that day, and she wasn’t supposed to go out until 1, but I was wrong. The young lady went out already, and the same thing happened on Monday. I had to literally plan everything over and again, restrategize, be discreet, and bring my A game.

Finally, I was able to surprise her after several failed attempts. Home girl was blown away, and of course, she loves her gifts. We couldn’t help but laugh over how I tried to be all sneaky with her.

Despite it being difficult to pull off, my friend loved it, and that’s all that matters.

Planning surprises can be pretty hard, but it’s proof that we can go the extra mile to make our friends and loved ones happy, and that alone is golden.

So keep surprising your loved ones, put that smile on their faces, because such gestures are priceless.

Over to you, my readers: Do you love planning surprises? Do they turn out well? I’d love to read your thoughts in the comments.

The goal was to see that awed expression on her face, and I’m sure that made you very happy.😂

The only surprise I’ve ever planned was a birthday surprise back in secondary school for one of my friends. It wasn’t anything big, but she was very surprised since she was going through a lot and didn’t even remember it was her birthday.

So kind of you to put a smile on your friend's face.

and I’m sure that made you very happy.😂

It sure did and and I don’t think I’ll forget it in a hurry😃
