LOH CONTEST #101: THE WOMAN WHO INSPIRES ME

in Ladies of Hive2 years ago

Hello, beautiful ladies of Hive. I have been looking forward to posting another piece of content after my introduction. So today, I introduce to you one of the women who has inspired me.

Ms. Excellence

Think like a Queen. A Queen who is not afraid to fail. Failure is another stepping stone to greatness
-- Oprah Winfrey

If you are asked now, "As a woman, who inspires you the most? What would your answer be? Usually, the woman in your family would top the chart, and that's fine. But take a step back for a minute, and think of other amazing women who through their persistency and resilience, through their challenges, failures, and achievements inspired you into doing one thing or another.

Women who refused to conform to society's idea of a perfect woman and duties. Women who refused to be comfortable with mediocrity.

A woman who has made taken a seat and seriously thinks about the direction you want to steer your life?

Such a woman is Madam Excellence Joshua Anurika.

She is a lady who channeled her pains to pursue success, but you wouldn't tell by mere looks. She is a proud mother of a handsome boy, who has done well for her child.

One big thing that I have learned from her is that you should not let situations make you become a shadow of yourself because of someone, rather than as a woman, I should strive to be successful, to channel the anger, the frustration into proving those who say that you won't succeed wrong.

It was during a coaching call that she told her story of being a domestic violence survivor. She almost didn't come out alive, having attempted suicide but by sheer miracle, someone came in at the right time to raise an alarm. Eventually, she realized that she has to leave if she wanted to create a safe place for herself and her child.

It took time but gradually she has become a force to be reckoned with. She is using her strength to impact thousands of women.

She loves to teach, advise and impact. I was introduced to the world of tech through her baby, The Techy Train Incubator where she and her team took it upon themselves to teach more than 6000+ women across the African countries in less than 2 years.

I am part of her goodwill through her mission of impacting young girls and ladies and teaching them the importance of having basic tech and digital skills for their future.

Through her, I found myself building a career as a freelancing working social media manager and building my brand.

She has taught women not to fully depend on people for certain things but to have faith in their abilities and to carve the paths they desire in the tech world.

Oie challenges may not be similar, but the lessons I learn and the strength I absorb every day are enough to keep me going.

Cheers to every woman who is wearing their failures and achievements as a second skin.

Always be the first version of yourself, instead of the second version of somebody else.
