Enjoy the weekend with me LOH 203

in Ladies of Hive2 months ago (edited)

Nothing makes me ecstatic as knowing I have movies in my phone.

Sometimes, not that I will binge watch them but knowing I have something that will calm my nerves when needed.

Movies and comedies are my stress relievers. After a long day at work, or feeling burnt out,

Hometown Cha Cha Cha

No matter what kind of movie I'm recommending, KDrama will always be among.

As usual, this contest will not be an exception

Hometown Cha Cha Cha has been on my To-Watch-Later list. Fortunately for me, I was able to get to watching it over the week.

And ladies, I was not disappointed.

Not to give any spoilers, but it talks about a young dentist who has to move down to a village called Gongjin.

Gongjin draws you of what a closed knitted community is all about.

Each character has something you could relate to without feeling out of the moment.

We get to see the adults and children doing well evoking those emotions you want to see in a movie.

I just love that the drama is not over the top, it's something you could calmly watch without having anxiety or cliffhangers about the next scene. One you could have a good time with your family.

Forming a solid connection throughout is the wonderful Kim Gam-Ri, who draws you in with her maternal warmth and you couldn't ask for more. You can feel the pains of being neglected by her children to the joy she finds with individual that make up the community.

The rest of this wonderful cast does well to weave a wonderful stories together with a solid gold bond that can't be forced.

The scenery at a snap shot of village life makes the journey well worth while.

I rate it 9/10

Something Like Gold

A movie you can pass the time with. I would rate it a 7/10. It's good but not one that leaves you all excited.

Directed by Kayode Kasum. A movie that started out promising, but doesn't have enough spark to keep you really excited.

It's good no doubt, I enjoyed it. You can pass the weekend with it but I won't be watching it again.

"Something Like Gold" tells of a young woman who does her best to belittle otyer people she deems beneath her. She gets dumped by her fiance on her wedding Day after losing everything.

Her father was arrested for fraud, leading to the government seizing all their properties leaving her with nothing.

Here, we get to see a fall from grace. From a prominent home to living in the ghetto.

It's a predictable story of the rich girl falling in love with the poor boy next door.

I save the best for the last.

Supacell

Supacell does something out of the ordinary.

It's a fresh perspective to the superhero genre we're used to.

Set is South London, Supacell delves into the lives of 6 individuals living their normal and being suddenly thrust into the world of super powers.

Supacell is a must watch series, each character delivered excellently. I wouldn't mind a second season.
