Back To School

The joys of motherhood can be a fine twist of fun and exhaustion, but what's fun without some measures of exhaustion? I may need to revisit this my idea in another holiday though, and I will tell you the reason.

This holiday was fun packed with my mom and sister visiting us for some weeks. It brought about a huge relief to me because I got ill and had to be at the hospital a few times so having my mom and sister around to care for my sonshine was really good because hubby was busy with some jobs and wasn't around much.

I had enough time to get my medications and equally rest awhile from the every minute job of taking care of my boy since he was on holidays. He had so much fun with his grandma and auntie, and I got the much needed rest needed for me to recuperate.

As my sonshine will be resuming school next week, I'm filled with joy and anxiety. Joy because he will have other kids to play with, and anxiety because those few hours he will be away from me can result to something else if not well supervised. This feeling crept into my head because some weeks before they went for this holiday, I brought him back from school with a swollen head. 😪

I miss my mum and sister since they travelled back although I'm very grateful they were able to make the journey of over 11hours to come visit us. I wish dad was still around 😪😭. He continues to live on in our hearts.

Whatever the new school calender has for my sonshine, I'm sure he will come out victorious. He has proved that over time and God has seen him through a lot. Have you ever seen your child with injuries from school? How did you react to it?

I am sorry you were ill but glad you had support from your mom and sister. Just knowing you didn't have to worry was probably key in your recovery as well.

As for injuries from school? There wasn't any physical stuff, but more along the lines of bullying. My youngest son was just in high school, freshmen year, and never said anything for a few years before saying anything about it. During that time, he didn't seem like anything was amiss, but he bottled it up inside and was very good at acting like all was well.

I hope nothing either physical or emotionally occurs with your son. Take care and have a lovely day!

Sorry about the illness, but glad you are back on your feet now. Am also pretty sure your sonshine is gonna chest whatever the school calendar says.
