Hello! Today I want to tell you how my birthday was because we did a lot of things with my family. So without further ado, here we go.
January 24th was my 25th birthday and we had already decided that we would go to the beach that day. I hadn't been to the beach or river for about two years, so I took advantage of the celebration to travel with my mother, stepfather, sister and husband to a beautiful island called Isla Larga. We woke up very late so we rushed out to avoid arriving at noon. We arrived at Quizandal, which is a beach where you usually get the boats to go to the island. It was closed and some people who are dedicated to tourism approached us to take us to another place where we could go to Isla Larga. As I said, it was an abrupt trip and we didn't have enough food and drinks. So we had to buy right there and the prices were quite high. However, that was not an impediment to continue. After arranging the snack, securing the boat and getting everyone ready, we left.
The good thing about going on a Monday is that the island was practically alone and it was very, very good for us because you could feel a calm and peace without so many people around and that noise pollution. For those who don't know, here in Venezuela it is customary to find that most of the people who go to the beaches carry equipment to play music and the truth is that I don't like that. First because it is not appropriate to place loud music in a public place and by the way, we do not know if it is to the liking of others and if this disturbs the peace of others. Basically out of respect and common sense it is excellent not to find places like a beach turned into a discotheque. That's for another time.
¡Hola! El día de hoy les quiero comentar como fue mi día de cumpleaños ya que hicimos muchísimas cosas con mi familia. Así que sin más que decir aquí vamos.
El 24 de Enero estuve cumpliendo 25 años y ya habíamos decidido que ese día iríamos a la playa. Yo tenía ya como unos dos años sin visitar playa o rio alguno, así que aproveche la celebración para viajar con mi madre, mi padastro, mi hermana y mi esposo a una bella isla llamada, Isla Larga. Nos despertamos muy tarde así que salimos corriendo para evitar llegar al medio día. Llegamos a Quizandal, que es una playa donde usualmente se consiguen las lanchas para trasladarse hasta la isla. Estaba cerrado y unas personas que se dedican al turismo se acercaron para llevarnos hasta otro lugar donde se pueda ir a Isla Larga. Cómo comenté, fue un viaje abrupto y no nos prevenimos con bebidas y comida. Así que tuvimos que comprar allí mismo y los precios si que estaban bastante elevados. Sin embargo, eso no fue impedimento para continuar. Luego de arreglar lo de la merienda, asegurar la lancha y estar todos listo, nos fuimos.
Lo bueno de haber ido un día Lunes es que la isla se encontraba prácticamente sola y estaba muy pero que muy bien para nosotros ya que se podía sentir una calma y paz sin tantas personas alrededor y esa contaminación sonora. Para quién no sabe, acá en Venezuela es costumbre encontrar que gran parte de las personas que asisten a las playas llevan equipos para reproducir música y la verdad es que eso no me agrada. Primero porque no es adecuado colocar música a todo volumen en un lugar público y que de paso, no sabemos si es del agrado de los demás y si esto perturba la paz de los otros. Básicamente por respeto y por sentido común es excelente no encontrar lugares como una playa convertidos en una discoteca. Eso para otro momento.
I return to what I commented in the second paragraph. Basically a place in the open sea, full of vegetation and fauna. We settled near the shade and I couldn't help but jump into the sea hahaha we were there from 10 AM until 4 AM. My mother also had a long time without visiting the beach so it was nice to see her little face lit up for being in contact with the sand and the sea again. With my husband I went around the island and showed him the boat that was there, he also enjoyed it a lot and was able to take some good pictures of the animals that live there; pelicans, crabs, little fish, gannets, among others. On the way back we were very tired, although the sea was calm.
To close the day we went to eat at a Chinese restaurant near the street of cafes, by Valencia, the place is called Imperial Garden. There we ordered some varied dishes, mostly fish and seafood, which we all shared. I must say that the prices here are also high but, it is really worth it because it is excellent food, very healthy, you can tell that what they prepare is done in a very clean way. The rice is loose, white and does not fall heavy on the stomach. I have some problems with my stomach and this food didn't give me any problems. My sister and my husband gave me two cakes. I was very sad because I wasn't expecting so many little things and even though I love sweets I can't eat that much. However they were delicious.
Retomo lo que comentaba en el segundo párrafo. Básicamente un lugar al mar abierto, lleno de vegetación y fauna. Nos acomodamos cerca de la sombra y no pude evitar meterme de una buena vez al mar jajaja allí estuvimos desde las 10 hasta las 4 AM. Mi madre también tenía mucho tiempo sin visitar la playa así que fue agradable ver su carita iluminada por estar de nuevo en contacto con la arena y el mar. Con mi esposo recorrí los límites de la isla y le enseñe el barco que allí se encontraba. Él también disfruto bastante y pudo sacar unas buenas fotos de los animales que allí habitan; pelícanos, cangrejos, pececitos, alcatraz, entre otros. De regreso veníamos muy cansados,a pesar de que el mar estaba tranquilo.
Para cerrar el día fuimos a comer en un restaurante de comida china que queda cerca de la calle de los cafés, por Valencia, el lugar se llama, Imperial Garden. Allí pedimos algunos platos variados, en su mayoría pescado y mariscos, que compartimos entre todos. Debo decir que los precios aquí son también altos pero, vale realmente la pena porque es una comida excelente, muy sana, se nota que lo que preparan lo hacen de forma muy limpia. El arroz es suelto, blanquito y no cae pesado al estómago. Yo tengo algunos problemas con el estómago y está comida no me trajo problemas. Mi hermana y mi esposo me regalaron dos tortas. Me dió mucha pena porque no esperaba tantas cositas y aunque me encanta el dulce no puedo comer tanto. Sin embargo estaban deliciosos.
We finally came home, watched some TV and were already very tired. I slept like a baby after this day. And so my dear friends, I had a nice day with my family. I am satisfied with the fact that not only I enjoyed myself but also my family was like a fish in water and that makes me very happy. I really value family time and the fact that this day was spent with them is worth gold. Finalmente volvimos a casa, vimos un poco de televisión y ya estábamos muy cansados. Dormí como un bebé luego de este día. Y así queridos amigos, fue como pase un lindo día junto a mi familia. Me satisface el hecho de que no solo yo disfrute sino que también mi familia estaba como pez en el agua y eso me hace mucha ilusión. Realmente valor el tiempo en familia y que este día haya transcurrido junto a ellos vale oro.
