Hello, amazing #ladiesofhive, compliments of the season. I welcome you to my blog. I am happy to participate in this week's prompt, though I have struggled to maintain balance between work and other personal activities because of the yuletide season. I am working around it because I cannot afford to miss the love and warmth in this community.
What is your favorite thing to enjoy during the holiday season, and why?
According to the above question thrown to us this week by @elizabethbit, Holidays are moments of rest and unwinding. I don’t play with holidays because they allow me to stay away from the noisy planet and rediscover myself. During holidays, my day starts very slowly because I make sure that I sleep without disturbance. This is to keep me recharged to launch back to work when the holidays are over. I also watch my favorite channels like Discovery, Zee World, and Super Sports. I relax with these channels.
Secondly, I like travelling a lot, especially visiting my eldest sister and keeping her company since she is a widow. So, I always like to be with her during long vacations. It is either I visit her, or I will invite her to my house to stay with us for a few weeks and unwind from work and its stress. We will gist, share our challenges, pray together, and also visit friends and loved ones in the east. Every moment spent with her is golden because of the many lessons I learn from her.
However, every yuletide season is a special one because of what it stands for. My favorite thing to do is extend a hand of love to the teens in my local church. We gather together, cook, eat, and exchange gifts because it is a season we celebrate the birth of our Saviour. His birth brought hope to mankind, and as a result, I always reflect on its significance in whatever I am doing this season.
So, we meet, sing, make a presentation to the church, and have a time to refresh and exchange warmth.
