The classroom is where the experiment started. The project is for the 7 and 8 graders and is both theoretical and with assignments.
And real money was involved.
At home they had to draw the coins we have in the Netherlands.
The fact that life is attached to money and money is needed to live is a lesson that you need to teach your kids from a young age.
We always tried that with all 4 and the fact that pocket change could be earned is something we as their parents learned from our parents.
A few weeks ago before the holidays the school had a project called
From classroom text and guidance lesson
Its a online and homework project!
we made it to a dual project school and at home
The project will take another 4 weeks and will be graded at the end of the school year. But the fact that we all buy different things with money, a bad grade isn't possible. The best idea and the idea that can make money with money will win.
I dont know yet what ours will be, but my son is making a list with his ideas. Money is mesmerising and it will sprung the dreams that are still in the kids heads, and it nivce to see what will be on it. Its not ready so I don’t get permission to post it in this blog sorry for that.also the teacher want to be the first to see. Maybe I can change that , or peek without my son knowing hahahahahah.
As a HODL’er i hope he chooses something for the long run.
That we all have a great life in our country Holland is something we all know and acknowledge. But than again there is unemployment and we also have flaws in the system that makes that certain groups have to get help or use the food banks we have all around the country.
The fact that its in the news and just an issue all over, with all the high prices of living i thought that this was a great way to join in and do some tasks as home during the lessons aswell.
They had to answer many questions and that gave insights into what they like to get involved with and learn more about.
Also where is the euro a legal payment product and what do you get for 1 euro , 10 euro and 100 euro in the different countries that have the euro as coins.
And they got a 100 euro bill , with plant seeds to try to get a money tree for the garden. I had to laugh that some kids really want tot try it out. They are in for a big dissapointment I guess.
Than the test they made also had tasks, and we talked about it with all of our family at the dinner table.
Ofcourse all had a lesson in it, like the fact that commercials and advertising have math in them.
Money makes math more easy , because buying beatz of a laptop with a discount is great.
The fact that my son talked about crypto ( in a nutshell ) but he does have an account so that was not a lie. The kids talked about crypto but nobody knew about hive. They did know about bitcoin and they talked about the pizza story, so that is know amongst the small kids aswell. Its a magnet of dreams, lets hope hive will be that some day.
We also talked about the fact that money can also be goods, like the present we send to our friends from Ukraine. @priyanarc and @blind-spot yes it was a family thing
The boys helped buy the presents, and i set an amount and they helped pick out things to match the budget. Than they had to go with me to the post office because presents also have to be send out. That also cost a bit. And they got to pay in cash and got coins back. They had to see if that was correct ( ofcourse it was )
Lessons about money, getting a bank account, phone costs, even the playing on the ps4 and charging a phone all is money. So than the normal life suddenly is a blog on hive about money.
Hope hive rises to the moon again, so i can teach more about the crypto market, and tell that the lambo outside was earned with blogs about hive life , and tell the teacher he is in a blog online aswell and that it all started there.
Untill we read again,

money always motivates people, it is a great incentive to try things and make decisions, risking or not in a project is something that should be taught, that is, making decisions based on knowledge. Thanks for sharing 😊
I hope so... I hope Hive moons... hehehe!

Very interesting @brittandjosie! Let us know how this turns out! Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day.
This is an incredibly well-thought-out lesson plan for the kids. Teaching them about money and doing the math teaches them the value of money and helps them start thinking about earning and using money while they are still at a very creative age. I wish I had these lessons when I was a kid maybe then I'd be better at saving hahah.
If you do peek at the project please make a blog about it too hahaha then we can all see it :D
Now the package you sent us is so much more special since the entire family was involved. That is so sweet!! Thank you! and lots of love!
Hahahah they need to see that educatie also on our own life and we can combine, and real life has so much opportunities for a blog.
And they love making a few euro.
Knap schoolproject. 🙂
Fijne zondag 😉

I wish I had this kind of lesson when I was a kid, I would have understood the value of money a long time ago. This is a really good way of teaching kids the value of money and how to spend it wisely. Though I am not very good at it.
I am really thankful that you have done a lot for me. You have no idea how much I appreciate the goodies you have sent me. I didn't know that kids were involved there too, give my love to them and tell them I said "Thank you" from the bottom of my heart :D ...
It is an excellent initiative that they teach young people about money and the correct way to use it. There are many topics that could be covered in school to prepare them for life. At least here in Venezuela, those opportunities are wasted, which I think would make a big difference, not only in the future of each individual, but of the country itself 🌺.
