In this little age of mine, I’ve seen so many things. I’ve seen cases where the woman of the house rules the house and rule the husband even though we all know that the husband is the head of the house.
Marriages can be the same inthe wikipedia definition but different in people’s home.
Let’s take an instance of the question in the ladies of Hive community and my opinion about it.
A husband told his wife that he wishes her to say "okay" and "yes" to whatever he says to avoid further discussions or arguments. What would you do if you were in her shoes? Would you agree and nod to everything even when it is against your will or feelings?
Just like I said earlier about Wilkipedia, marriage is the coming of a man and woman to create a family. This means that the two of them can bring suggestions, opinions and ideas to make the marriage work and to build the family. Women are supporters of the family and that’s why a man should always carry his woman along with everything going on in the house.
Now, if there is a home where the husband wants to be the only one to be heard, there will be problems and one of the major consequences is divorce. Such marriage is likely not to last because we women love to be in places where we can express ourselves and if we don’t find us there, it becomes a problem and hard for us to stay.
Secondly, I actually know some me who feel like they know it all even though they must have heard the phrase that no man is an island so many times. Any man who only wants his opinion in the house is likely to ruin things. As a woman, being in such situation is hard but if I definitely find myself in that situation, there may be arguments everyday which may later lead to a divorce.
If there is any man reading this, hear your woman out. I know we are supporters but you can’t know it all as well.

For two people to live together as one, there needs to be understanding and tolerance... Both needs to respect each other, so even though a man has that authority to control being the sole provider in the house, he should not miss use it, the wife also need to be heard

This doesn’t mean he does not have a say but he should not be the one to control every activity in the house

This is very true and it's saddening when someone disregards the other in a relationship by becoming the 'know-it-all' person and more so when he/she takes the other's right and freedom to express his/her opinion.
Of course, the marriage wouldn’t last because the woman would think you married her to prepare yourself for being a dictator or something? Lol.
