Nothing is achieved without effort / Nada se logra sin esfuerzo (eng-esp)

Hello, my friends.

Yesterday I met with my friends from the Alta Literatura group. We started this project with the intention of promoting Cuban and world literature.

Over these five years, we have achieved all of our objectives. However, it has taken a lot of work to get where we are.

And we still have a long way to go to achieve our dream.

Many people who shared our interests have joined the project over time.

However, little by little, they have left as quickly as they arrived.

It turns out that we, the founders, work daily and without pay. Our vocation is artistic and purely promotional. The idea has always been to secure funding or monetize the Facebook page to generate income to cover project expenses. But so far, that hasn't been possible. However, we're close to achieving it.

What happens is that to make a living from our work, we have to sacrifice and work very hard. Nothing is achieved without effort. And after achieving it, we have to redouble our efforts.

The idea was never to generate income, but to promote art and literature. But life has shown us that without money, we can't do much. That's why the project needs to be self-sustaining.

That's why we work on it every day. We continue to pay for everything out of our own pockets and promote Cuban and international literature.

It's been five years of hard work, but we now have our website, a blog viewed in more than fifty countries, our horror contest (we're launching a new one next year), we created an online academy, and we've established ourselves as a critical and literary reference point in our country. Through our work, we've earned the respect of writers and readers alike.

But that has taken a lot of work. It's a huge effort for us. An effort that not everyone has been able to sustain.

The work of a writer is a vocation. It's a job that is very rarely paid. And when you do get paid, it's usually not what you expected or what you deserve.

If, in addition to that, you start a project like ours, you need to know that it's for the love of art and not to get rich.

And this applies to any project you undertake. If you're not willing to sacrifice and invest your time, if you don't believe the fruits of your labor will be beneficial, not only spiritually for yourselves but also for society, then it's best not to do it.

Because all work involves effort, sacrifice, and an investment of time that you'll never recover. Then, yes. Then come the achievements, the successes, the fame, and the reaping of material and spiritual benefits. Because if you can combine spiritual and economic gains, all the better.

That would be ideal.

It's what we want to do now. What we need.

It would be a lie to say otherwise.

But I know many people who have seen a business become successful and think it happened overnight. And it's never like that.
Behind every project, every successful business or career, there are many hours and many days without rest. There is a lot of personal and collective sacrifice invested.

Nothing happens by chance.

Hola, amigas mías.

Ayer estuve reunido con mis amigos del grupo Alta Literatura. Nosotros iniciamos este proyecto con la intención de promover la literatura cubana y universal.
A lo largo de estos cinco años hemos logrado todos los objetivos planteados. Sin embargo, nos ha costado bastante trabajo llegar hasta donde hemos llegado.
Y aún nos falta mucho para alcanzar el sueño.

En el proyecto han participado muchas personas que se nos fueron sumando, quienes tenían los mismos intereses nuestros.
Sin embargo, poco a poco se han ido yendo como mismo llegaron.
Resulta que nosotros, los fundadores, tenemos un ritmo de trabajo que es diario y no remunerado. Nuestra vocación es artística y puramente promocional.
La idea siempre ha sido la de conseguir un financiamiento o monetizar la página de facebook, para generar ingresos que paguen los gastos del proyecto. Pero de momento no ha sido posible. Sin embargo, estamos cerca de alcanzarlo.

¿Qué sucede? Que para poder vivir de nuestro trabajo, tenemos que sacrificarnos y trabajar mucho. Nada se consigue sin esfuerzo. Y después de conseguirlo, hay que redoblar el esfuerzo.
La idea nunca fue la de generar ingresos, sino de poder promocionar el arte, la literatura. Pero la vida nos demostró que sin dinero, no podemos hacer mucho. Por eso la necesidad de que el proyecto se sustente por sí mismo.
Por eso, cada día trabajamos en él. Seguimos pagando todo de nuestro bolsillo y promoviendo la literatura cubana y universal.

Han sido cinco años de duro trabajo, pero ya tenemos nuestra página web, un blog visto en más de cincuenta países, nuestro concurso de terror, vamos a lanzar uno nuevo el próximo año, hicimos una academia online y nos hemos posicionado como referencia crítica y literaria en nuestro país. Con nuestro trabajo hemos ganado el respeto de los escritores y lectores.

Pero eso ha costado mucho trabajo. Resulta un gran esfuerzo para nosotros. Esfuerzo que no todos han podido soportar.
El trabajo del escritor es un trabajo de vocación. Es un trabajo que muy pocas veces es remunerado. Y cuando te pagan no suele ser lo que esperabas o lo que mereces.
Sí aparte de eso comienzas un proyecto como el nuestro, necesitas saber que es por amor al arte y no para hacerse rico.

Y esto se le aplica a cualquier proyecto que se propongan. Si no sacrifican e invierten de su tiempo, si no creen que el fruto de su trabajo será beneficioso, no solo para ustedes espiritualmente, sino para la sociedad mejor no lo hagan.
Porque todo trabajo conlleva esfuerzo sacrificio y una inversión de tiempo que nunca van a recuperar. Luego sí. Luego vienen los logros los éxitos la fama y la recogida de beneficios materiales y espirituales. Porque si pueden mezclar las ganancias espirituales y económicas, pues mucho mejor.
Eso sería ideal.
Es lo que queremos hacer ahora. Lo que necesitamos.
Sería mentira decir lo contrario.

Pero conozco a muchas personas que han visto que un negocio es exitoso y piensan que se logró de la noche a la mañana. Y nunca es así.
Detrás de cada proyecto, de cada negocio o carrera exitosa, hay muchas horas muchos días sin descansar. Hay mucho sacrificio personal y colectivo invertido.
Nada suege de la nada.
