The South Korean national soccer team, which is attempting to qualify for its 11th consecutive World Cup, has two games in the Middle East in November.
First up is Kuwait.

The South Korean national soccer team will take on Kuwait at the Jaber Al Ahmed International Stadium in Kuwait City, the capital of Kuwait, on Nov. 14 at 11 p.m. KST in the fifth match of Group B of the World Cup Asian Qualifiers.

South Korea remain unbeaten and lead the group. 10 points, 3 wins, 1 draw

The first and second-place teams in the group advance directly to the World Cup.

“We have to win these two games away from home,” said Hong Myung-bo in an interview, adding, ”Even though our opponents are called underdogs, playing away from home is always a pressure. It is important for us to win the games we are given.”

Kuwait are ranked 135th in the FIFA rankings, but they can't afford to be complacent.

They will have to overcome a number of variables, including Kuwait's home advantage, weather, pitch conditions and one-sided support.

“We sometimes lose games that we should win,” Hong Myung-bo said. We will prepare properly for Kuwait as we don't have much time to train fully before the match.”
