Give yourself time to 'heal'!

in ecoTrain5 years ago

It may sound crazy if I say that after having a bad day or a break up we shouldn't rush to make ourselves feel good. Because this will be the total opposite of what we usually do. We all try to find ways to make us feel good again, we hand out with people to forget what happened, we start a new relationship in a few days. You will notice how common these are.

In this context, self-healing may sound a crazy idea but believe me, this is the best idea!

We need to give ourselves the time to heal us automatically. Just like a physical wound can heal over time, our mental and emotional wounds can also be healed. We just need the right intention. I'm not saying working on to make ourselves feel better is wrong. But everything has a time. When we skip our negative feeling, it stays right in the corner. It will take over us anytime. So, it's better to take the time to release those negative emotions.

Another thing is, we need to understand those bad moments are the time when we can actually learn ourselves best. We can figure out what didn't work for us, why we feel that way, our true emotions. So skipping this or hiding this would be a wrong turn. Rather think about self-healing.

Self-healing doesn't take anything. Just give yourself more time, try to understand your inner feeling, improve self-love and care for you more. There's nothing wrong to start a new relationship after a breakup but if you choose to not give them time to yourself to understand thyself better, it will be your loss. Believe me, your emotions will automatically heal and make you feel fresh again. Don't rush to feel fresh, take your time to heal!

A simple yet beautiful post. In my experience, much of the troubles we go through aren't so much the problems we face on their own, but our resistance to acknowledge and process the hurt we feel when we face them. The more honest we are with our feelings, the easier it is to flow with them. Thanks for your contribution!
