Miracle, a second chance

I have a relative who is also a friend since childhood, his name is Konyel. When we were in elementary school we were in the same class. After graduating, we went to different schools, but we still met often after school. We play together and spend time happily.
However, with the passage of time and the wider social circle. His toughness is becoming more visible. He often fights and uses alcohol as an escape whenever he is in trouble.
I often give advice not to be too indulgent. I told you to control yourself. Usually when we chat he is still willing to take suggestions. However,. after not being with him he often resorted to violence until he was carried away after marriage.
His wife finally could not stand it and chose a divorce. This divorce just made it worse. Getting drunk and looking for fuss became a more visible habit. Often his emotions escalated to the point that many neighbors were annoyed.

Fall and Stroke

One day Konyel was very drunk and fell on the road. Incidentally there were some neighbors who saw so they still wanted to help him. They took Konyel home and laid him on the bed. However, when he woke up there was something different from Konyel.
His speech is not clear.
"Probably still getting drunk." said one friend.
Silly as if to say something but to no avail. Then he tried to raise his right hand but couldn't move it. Seeing the unfavorable development, the family agreed to take Konyel to the hospital. After being treated in the ER, the doctor called his family.
"Sir, ma'am. Mr. Konyel has suffered a stroke. We still have to take care of him here for the time being. After you get better, you can go home."

Everyone's feelings were mixed hearing the doctor's statement. We followed the doctor's advice and after things got better the doctor allowed Konyel to go home and continue treatment at home.
Since suffering a stroke Konyel can only lie down and will use a wheelchair to get out of the house.
This stroke changed Konyel's bad habits. If in the past there were no days without getting drunk and noisy, now they are more silent.
When I arrived he had time to chat.
"Life is like a wheel. There are times when you are up and there are times you are down. Sometimes, when you want to go down, you feel as if you were thrown from a height."
I just nodded.
"Maybe God is punishing me. Bad deeds in the past brought me to this point. The point where I am nothing."
I looked at him carefully. I didn't expect any wise words to come out of such a loud person. In my heart I pray that God will still give Konyel a second chance
Right after I thought he continued.
"If there is a miracle, which gives me a second chance then I will correct all my mistakes." Konyel said still not very clear.
I felt my eyes tear up.
"Amen," I said spontaneously.
I believe God will not be silent seeing your efforts to continue to survive. do not ever give up. If you give up then you will only be a burden. I know you can and are strong."
Kennel nodded.
The hope of getting a miracle and a second chance makes Konyel more passionate about life. From just being in a wheelchair, he can slowly stand up, although he still has to lean against the wall a lot. Even when I tried to help, I was always refused.
"Don't. I don't want to be a burden. I want to take life before I know the bad. I want to be healthy."
I just smiled proudly.
Finally Konyel managed to walk home, although still have to slowly.

Miracle on fire

One night Konyel was sitting on the terrace. Suddenly he saw a fire and smoke rising from the neighbor's kitchen. At that time, no one had noticed it other than Konyel.
"Fire..
Fire..
Fire!" Konyel shouted.
Konyel's screams were finally heard, so many people started to arrive.
Without realizing it Konyel grabbed the bucket and ran towards the crowd of people who were trying to extinguish the fire with makeshift tools. The neighbors are still busy dousing the fire by fetching water from the gutters and wells.
It was only after the fire was extinguished that they realized Konyel was able to walk upright and recovered from the stroke.

"Look. konyel is cured. He can walk normally."
"Thank God..."
Everyone is grateful and happy.
Since then Konyel's life has changed drastically. He felt he got a miracle on a second chance. He mostly participates in religious activities as a form of gratitude for God's gifts.
Now he is trying to reconcile with his ex-wife. He regrets his actions in the past.
I hope they get back together in a happy household.

A miracle and a second chance, not many people are that lucky. So many things go wrong when we indulge in bad habits.
