The last two months I have been a bit pretty quiet on social media, only sharing and posting very sporadically - and there is a good reason for that.
I have always been a person that took great pride in working hard, giving 100%, not being "lazy" - to a point where I often burnt myself out. Becoming my own boss didn't really help the issue since working for a thing you are super passionate about without anyone that gives you set working times can make it even harder to create room for balance and rest.
Over the last years, I luckily started to realise my destructive habits and created frameworks and systems to help me find a better routine. It always worked well for a while, until I dived back into old habits. Two months ago, it happened again and I found myself drained and tired after a long working stretch.
The thing is - for a long time I knew this wasn't good for me, I knew my way of working didn't support me in my own healing journey as well as my happiness and I knew that I needed to set clear boundaries. Yet it was pretty hard, since I still carried old subconscious beliefs with me that were holding me back. Old beliefs about the hustle mentality, not being lazy, always giving my best - things that actually didn't serve me any longer.
So, the last two months I took a step back to really reevaluate my routines, dive deep into inner work to finally break free of those old beliefs, get clear on my priorities, seek support from others and take a lot of time for relaxation and recharging. It's a process and I am still taking daily steps to create a new belief set for myself, but I am already seeing amazing progress and am very excited to see how this new chapter will unfold.
Now, I feel refreshed, revitalised, recalibrated, reinspired - ready to dive back into my passion projects for Raw Expansion.
Some people might think, as a Holistic Health Coach, I am supposed to not fall into those traps of overworking anymore and always live in balance, peace and vibrant health. I believe that being a coach and having all that knowledge about holistic health doesn't prevent me from also making mistakes - but it allows me to observe my mistakes much more easily and actually take powerful action to overcome those challenges. At the end, it makes me an even better Coach since I get to support you more effectively in your own hurdles on your health journey.
What you can take home from this experience of mine - don't ignore the old beliefs you are holding, let it be around work, health, relationships or other areas in life. They might be the reason you have a really hard time to move forward and once you break free from them, everything else can fall into place with much more ease.
