Same with me. A simple thank you to me is enough to make me know that person is grateful. I don't do something to expect in return. Even if it makes the person not to come back to say thank you, I only do it willingly and for God.

Also, showing our gratitude to God for a new life is worth it because He has done us a good favor to sleep and wake up to a new day.
