A garden requires patient labor and attention. Plants do not grow merely to satisfy ambitions or to fulfill good intentions. They thrive because someone expended effort on them. — Liberty Hyde Bailey
Undeniably, poor choices lead to poor results.
This is similar to poor policies that undeniably causes a multitude of negative consequences in society. Although with much disgrace, no one wants to take the blame and instead they strengthen their stand over it, without apologies, afraid to admit that their policies had failed terribly.
I might be too young to faithfully recount previous socio-political catastrophes prior to 2019, but everyone would still be familiar with the pandemic mandates that are blatantly unethical and unhelpful, causing various irreversible health, economic, and societal damages. Then we have the proxy war, the war sanctions, and the funneling of taxpayers' funds to invoke hate and discord. Now they are turning into climate change, blaming the common man for the ill-effects of the greed of the philanthropic hypocrites and corporate giants.
This domino effect had then put pressure no matter what status you have, everyone is going to pay the price for conforming or not conforming.
A hot topic right now, having some egg-laying machines in your backyard before was weird, but now it's a sought-after hobby for most people who wake up with eggs in their daily diet.
At the height of the pandemic, we went almost 100% plant-based due to our financial distress. We eat an abundance of the same vegetables from breakfast to dinner, only creatively switching from stir-fry, bean stews, and soups whenever palatable, just to survive the year. Little did I know that the prices of almost all vegetables are continually rising so dramatically, even until now. The point is, it is still never too late to plant a garden and thrive even with unbelievable market prices.
We really need to become flexible no matter how many times the elites and global leaders tries to break the world and the existing society.
Propagating Fruit Trees from Cuttings
The economic crisis might still continue for a few more years, but I chose to continue building an abundant life and sustainability even with limited opportunities. Though their is still a threat of another world war. Even the U.S. is planning to draft the unvaccinated to prepare for their war of greed.
Anyway, while we still have a little bit of freedom to breath fresh air and live comfortable without the fear of gunshots and bombs, let's find ways to grow more fruit trees and vegetables to grow the food forest.
Everyone in the family have their own collection of native and non-native fruit trees, especially my father who already had grown thousands of trees, and I can't help to make my own too, that's one of the reason that I'm building a food forest of my own.
Last year, my sister's lemon tree in her backyard started fruiting, we even used some for our holiday menus. Lemon is not native to our country, citrus is part of my childhood. Our orchards are also filled with hundreds of different citrus hybrids aside from other fruit trees, including Calamansi, Lado, Sunkist, and Pomelo. Even at home, my father grew citrus and other fruit trees in our backyard.
When I was still living in the city, I always get shocked by the prices of fruits in the supeprmarket when it can just be handpicked at home and at that time a piece of lemon costs a dollar. So, planting more lemon trees mean you can grow dollars on a tree!
By December of last year, I cut a branch from my sister's Lemon tree and cut it further into three. I then planted them on plastic pots to see whether it would root and survive. I was happy to find that it started budding new stems and leaves as of today.
If this will be successful, I will continue to propagate more lemon tree cuttings to transplant in our orchards and in the farm, then maybe also sell some seedlings too.
Even with the economy stabilizing someday soon, I want to see my food forest grow and be able share food for my family for free.

Good job friend
Thanks bro, still far from reality, but it's a good start. Might still take ~5 years before I can see it bear fruits 😅
Well done with your cuttings 😍
Hoping it will continue to grow, so I can transplant it before the year ends 😌
