The media plays a key role in unawarely implanting some of the ideologies and beliefs we hold. In a world where hardworking is characterised or defined as endless chasing of wealth and money, the will to have rest of mind and tranquility is consider as irresponsibility and laziness.

Sometimes I look at myself and deep down i don't want the endless rat race where people's lives are characterized by greed or where people become slaves to money all in the name of finding financial fulfilment.

I have lived a cautious life all my life trying to pay cognisance or listen to my inner self to understand when to pause, when to stop or when to continue.

In life however we often end up relating to people who share different ideologies, opinion and point of view and this is one of the reasons why we don't fully have the audacity to listen to only ourselves.

It's considered selfish when we're trying to actualise our own goals because the moment we're born, we're born into responsibilities, we have people who automatically wants to decide what we wear, eat or drink for our own benefit, however with time we grow up, develop our own will and strength and establish a certain kind of resolve with which we form our personalities.

but like I said earlier we cannot totally be or conform to rh desires we want because life alone makes us meander.

Inasmuch as we're not weak-willed we're open to suggestibles, inasmuch as we understand what manipulation I is, we can't help but to be sucked in to the various vissisitudes of life.

It's not everyone who wants to be rich but then circumstances around you might make you seek riches. The constant inflation in prices of commodities necessary to take care of our basic needs and wants, the exploitative tendencies of the government, the increasing bits of pressure to satiate ones every growing cravings and a whole lot of other things as well.

But then it's somehow addictive. Money can be addictive, spending it seems fulfilling and a quest for constant wealth can be infectious.

But then money isn't everything that constitutes life. It doesn't satiate our internal yearnings, it brings us a level of satisfaction but the fact that we're complex beings is one of the reasons why we may never fully understand why some people chase so much money, have numerous investments that can last for some few decades but at the end they come out with a perception that money is vanity.

This comes from a disappointment that the wealth they have cannot buy them that immortality.

Exceeding rich people develop a mindset at a certain stage of the life and that's the aggrandisement of their personal self, they reach an elevated ego and when they find out that they can't satiate some need in their lives they come out with the notion that money is vanity.

In the end we all need money to survive but then coming to terms that we need it in moderation will reduce greed and selfishness. Now not wanting to be excessively rich isn't selfishness it only shows your conviction towards values like contentment.

In reality people would slate you for wanting to derive through happiness that isn't tied to the futility of money, infact the society around you might even feel like a moving train while you're stuck in limbo but then I've come to understand that you do not need to run to meet up to life's expectations.

We have nominally create a vast kind of podium, divided ourselves into spectators and competitors while losing the sacredity and essence to life. At the end of the day our lives are just scenic expressions of who we are.
