Vera has always been a boss lady. She always tries as much as possible to keep to herself, all this because she probably doesn't want to have a problem with anyone in the house.
I am a calm guy who is cool to earth and with that never had any issues with anyone in the house.
The house I am talking about is a very big house with 70 rooms in it all the rooms filled with occupants with different characters when I say different characters I mean everyone staying in that house is having his or her special lifestyle and a special way of living.
I was in my 400 level in the college. I was at the brink of rounding up when things decided to turn the other way round and Dad lost his job. He left with nothing as all things were seized from him. And things grew from good to worst which was not expected at this critical moment.
It got to a level that feeding was even becoming very difficult, since I know things were not the way they use to be I decided to cut my mode of feeding just to be able to meet up with the quantity of food I have left for my remaining stay in the school.
So one day I sat in front of the house with my two hands on my cheeks observing the area when the boss lay walked to me and said Samuel what is wrong with you, I was shocked when I heard her call my name I never knew this lady know my name until that day.
And then jokingly I answered Veronica am good I discovered a shock on her face as well.
Chap!!! She said no one has ever called me with my full name and you will be the first person within this vicinity to do that and I laughed at that statement as I responded VERA is the short form of the name VERONICA, so trust me I know most of this things.
Well, do you mind coming to my room I prepared some food, again the shock came? This lady I know has never shown this act of kindness to anyone in that house. I bluntly refuse but she insisted so I followed her to her room where she enquired more about me. I told her most things just the way it is as the said goes
" A problem shared is a problem half solved".
Then I felt a hand holding my falling self.
And that act got me a bit relieved as I felt a part of the burden dropped and at that point, I felt hope coming back again as we had a good time together, I ate and
appreciated her kind gesture towards me that day.
But ever since that day the popular Vera now has a friend in the lodge and that friend is nobody but samuel.
And for the rest of my stay in the school, Vera took up the responsibility of serving me food every day until the day I left that school.
That single act of feeding me gave me life in school but Vera never cared to get my number until I left and currently I am still searching to see if I could meet her anywhere in life to show how grateful I am for what she did to me while I was in school.
And I hope to still meet her someday in life.
