Spirituality: Seek to end your spiritual career with joy

in ecoTrain3 years ago

Greetings, brothers. It is a great privilege to share with you a wonderful message focused on the need to finish our spiritual career with great joy and full fulfillment of God's purpose in our life.

The Bible is full of examples of men who strove to complete their careers of serving God with joy. Pablo was one of them. The apostle Paul wanted to be everything that God wanted him to be, and he wanted to do everything that God wanted him to do, but he wanted to do it with joy.

…… As long as I finish my career with joy… (Acts 20:24).

We must learn to be joyful with our progress, and not depressed thinking about all that we have yet to advance. We have to learn to look at the positive and not the negative.

One of the secondary consequences of legalism is that people are never satisfied unless they follow all the law. If they do not comply in one point they become guilty of all (James 2:10). One of the benefits of the new covenant is the fact that we can be satisfied throughout our life's journey of service to God. Our satisfaction is not found in our performance, but in Jesus Christ himself.

In John 10:10 Jesus says that He came so that we would have life and enjoy it. In the same verse He says: The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy… The thief he refers to is legalism or a legalistic approach to God. He takes everything out of us without giving us anything in return except guilt and misery. By law we cannot be justified, and neither can we have peace and joy. Through Jesus all those things are free gifts to us, given by God's grace, not deserved by our work. We receive them by faith.

Our spiritual life should be in Joy and Peace. We need to understand that coming to understand God and building a relationship with Him should be done in Joy just as what Apostle Paul said. I love him because everything he does were with Joy and we can also imbibe such ways to enjoy our moment with God.

Thank you for sharing this post.
