But you, Jehovah, are a shield around me;
My glory, and the one who lifts my head.
4 With my voice I cried out to the Lord,
And he answered me from his holy mountain. Psalm 3: 3-4 King James Version (KJV)

Greetings friends of the HeartChurch community. Today I want to share with you an interesting portion of Psalm 3 whose original author is King David. When David writes this psalm he was going through a time of tribulation in which his own son Absalom was persecuting him to death.
David had no choice but to flee from his own son, who had driven him out of Jersusalen, and a large number of David's trusted people betrayed him to join Absalom.
You can imagine how terrible David was where his own son tried to kill him to stay with the kingship in Israel.
Honestly, David lived a completely difficult and complex season, however, in the midst of that situation, David was able to manifest his absolute trust in God and declare: "But you, Jehovah, are a shield around me."
Although David knew that his son was seeking his death, David centered his trust in God until he considered that in the midst of danger and persecution, God was his protective shield that would free him from all his anguish.
I do not know the situation that you, my reader friend, may be living. It is surely an alarming and dangerous situation that requires someone to help you.
Do as David and declare that God is the medium of that problem is your shield to protect and free you. Do not be afraid, trust in the Lord and you will receive prompt help for your problem.
The psalm says that David cried out to the Lord and the Lord answered him.
This really is what we must do in trouble and danger. We must cry out to God, who is not only our shield, but also hears our prayer and gives him the appropriate answer to receive the victory that comes from God.
In the life of a believer there can be a severe storm, but God is willing to answer prayer when his name is invoked. God is the shield of those who seek him with a heart full of sincerity and love.
God has promised to answer us when we call on Him in the day of trouble and we need to put our trust in God and make Him our shield. He is ever ready to protect us when we reach out to Him. Thank you for sharing the word of God to us.
