Deep Dives 18 - The Wikileaks Archive
The longtime editor-in-chief of Wikileaks is facing extradition to the United States where he will face charges relating to espionage. Assange was forcibly removed from the Ecuadorian embassy and arrested by UK police on April 11th, 2019.
Assange is being persecuted for his journalistic activities that include publishing information related to US war crimes in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Welcome to Deep Dives #18. This is the 9th Deep Dives research challenge with a spotlight on the Wikileaks archive. Many under-reported articles have been produced by Deep Dives researchers on a variety of topics originating from material found in the archive.
It's time to get back to digging in the vaults and back to building an archive of research on the blockchain.
The Wikileaks archive is arguably the most trusted publicly available archive and one of the largest collections of government documents, files, emails, and cables anywhere across the internet.

The Wikileaks Index
Back in late 2016, Wikileaks revealed the existence of a little-known index that combines onsite and offsite resources relating to Wikileaks material. This invaluable tool helps make the mammoth amount of documents available on the Wikileaks website more accessible and systematic.

It truly is a community effort and your exceptional contributions are what fuels this project.
New contributors are welcome to join!

Looking forward to reading some great investigative articles - sourced from the most extensive leaks database we have at our disposal!
Likewise, I'd love to see a few new contributors take a crack at it.
There's an almost endless amount of topics to choose from in the archive so it's pretty wide open, imo.
Well I managed to stumble onto some Wikileaks docs while doing a piece on Clinton corruption so I'll give it a shot when it gets published
Right on!
There's a lot going on right now, but in the future we'd like to post some "how to dig" type of content to DD. Hopefully, posts from members of the community sharing tips and tricks. The @deepdives account will also try to provide some resources like this. The WL archive itself is quite large and there are certainly ways to help narrow the search results.
In the meantime, if we can help you out your research in anyways, leave us a message and we'll see if we can help out in any way :)
I can never seem to find anything in the Wikileaks archive (my fault not theirs). I was doing an article in a Clinton Crimes series and there were 3 Wikileaks/ State Dept. emails I used in addition to other sources.
As for sharing tips on doing research I think that would be a wonderful asset, especially for new members of the DD community... I'd be happy to help in any way possible.
I got something cooking, this challenge ties into the work that I am doing right now and I can't wait to jump in, thanks for putting this on.
Great to hear.
We're looking forward to this round's contributions and hope a few community members join in. It's always exciting to see what people dig-up.
Thanks for spreading the word, again!
Cheers!
I just migrated from Steemit to Hive. Had a bit of a following before and am hoping to reconnect with them here. I also "deep dive' in the form of various exposés. My latest is EXPOSÉ: BillGates-COVID-19-ID2020-WHO-CDC-BigPharma-Gavi-Rockefeller: Connecting the Dots is but one of many and I will be posting the remaining parts in the coming days. - Cheers all, @libertyacademy.
Great, welcome to Hive!
Deep Dives 18 is open to all contributors as well, so feel free to enter if you have anything related to WL. We're always happy to welcome new participants!
Noo0o0o0 centered text again :P I'ma try to find something to post...
