Misinformation is the new trend now, and it is just dad because that's not what New reporting is about. You are right when you said every media outlet out there wants to be the first to break the news, which usually leads to misinformation because some obvious facts aren't checked.

Also, the media sells by grabbing people's attention which is why most of th use false headline to capture people's attention but, the truth is that, some people (like me who don't have the luxury of time to check out the main gist will just ignore) but, there are some people who never reads what next and just pass the story regarding the headline given.

True. It's a click bait approach and that's what the Media outlets are currently using, especially the ones that publish/upload their content online. They are all about grabbing people's attention and forcing a reaction out of people.

Sadly, lies usually does a better job of getting the clicks. That's why these outlets are continuously taking that route.
