When I reached the ORCA rank on HIVE, I was thinking about the next step and goal. As the WHALE rank is very far away, my next focus was to reach the 100K HivePower and I'm happy to say that I did it! How long did it take? From the moment I got the ORCA rank, almost two years have passed, which was the time needed to almost double up my HivePower. At January, 1st, after the 1K power-up, I had 56K HivePower that was needed for ORCA rank!

In certain moments, it was even hard to imagine getting there, especially when HIVE was over $1... Around January 2022 that was the case... and to imagine that I would need 50K USD more to reach 100K was unimaginable... The price of HIVE went down, and I used those (these) moments to acquire more, and to power up more... But, it is needed to say that I was doing those 1K power-ups even when the price was over $1!
After all these years in crypto, I did learn something very important... If you are focused and convinced in what you are doing, nothing can stop you from reaching your goal... IGNORE the price, ignore the volatility, and keep your focus on accumulation... It doesn't matter if it is $1 or $0.10, you have your goal and you work to accomplish it!
How about taking profits? Well, I did take some profits from crypto through the years... Sometimes one token, sometimes some others, but most of the time, my main focus was on the accumulation of "blue-chip tokens"... That is a very relative term, as blue-chip tokens aren't the same for everyone... For some, only Bitcoin is a blue-chip token, maybe only HIVE, and for others multiple tokens... Either way, it's important to define that for yourself and to keep the focus... If you are changing your "blue-chip" tokens definition every week, you will never get there...
So, let's do it! Let us power up some Hive on November #HivePUD.

Well, to fulfill my OCD thing and to be able to create the next screenshot 😃:
That number looks so awesome! 100,000 HivePower!!! After all this time, a lot of work and I have to say, sacrifice too, I have reached my yearly goal, but also a huge multi-year goal!!
After that, I have powered up the rest of the 1000 HIVE destined to be staked today... The biggest HiveBuzz bee will come tomorrow! 😃
What's next? I suppose that the next multi-year goal should be 150K, as aiming more than that could be counter-productive and demotivating...
As I have powered up over 1 HIVE every day during October, I got another important message from Hivebuzz this morning...
Along with the other 40 people, I got the #HivePUM badge for October!
To get this badge, you should power up at least 1 HIVE every day of the month OR create a post every day with rewards set to 100% HP...
So, what is #HivePUD?
Just a short introduction to HivePUD... What does it mean at all? #HivePUD is shortened for the Hive Power Up Day. It's an event when Hive members power up their liquid HIVE and stop any active PowerDown! It is organized by great fellow Hivians @streetstyle and @traciyork and is held every 1st day of a month.

I think none of crypto is really "blue chip", but if anything BTC comes the closest. Still pretty volatile, but probably less so than almost anything else in this space.

Regarding the blue chips... Which fiat currency would you call a blue chip? 😃 I have to say that I would have a problem to pick one... 😃
I suppose the dollar, since all other currencies look to it. But yeah, even that one isn't exactly stable and is pretty much constantly going down. From a stability standpoint, I'd say gold is probably best, silver next. Does that make them blue-chip? But then you get into storage issues.
We are living in turbulent times... Changes are coming and the only question is... Are we ready for them? Covered from all sides and angles...
Congratulations! I know it's tricky to make your HP an exact number as it increases all the time. I've been keeping an eye on how many people have over 100k and it's increasing. We should hit 200 soon.
We need more big accounts to spread the rewards more.

I completely agree with you! It would be great to see the growth of Dolphins and Orcas on HIVE as they are the "middle class" of HIVE... And that class was usually the most important in every country and the main wheel of the economy!

Powering up every day for a month is a thing? I had no idea and would have gotten in on that as well.
I would say keep doing what you are doing and maybe set a goal to power up and delegate it to smaller folks to distribute your whale power!

Congratulations. Well there are people that have a thing for round figure numbers and you might be itching for a long time now to see that 100k. What can I say, I think anyone who wants the fortune that comes with crypto needs that extra risk which many are unwilling to take, it's either that or nothing else.

These floods were terrible and left devastation in the whole Valencian region... 😞 Luckily, our son was in the part of the city that was a bit higher than the ones that were affected... He is OK and will return home for a few days tomorrow...

I've been working very hard for practically 7 years (which, by the way, will be completed this month) writing at least two posts a day, participating in other project initiatives, interacting with users, paying attention to all the news from Hive and I know what how positive all of this has been. It has been an incredible journey, and everything has been so worth it so far.
I confess that I really miss better support from big curatorial projects considering the quality of what I usually write (especially about reviews of films, television series and music albums), but even so, I have been constantly growing gradually. This keeps me motivated to continue, but one day I hope to be better recognized (in many ways) for these projects.

Hive is a strange beast... There are many people with bigger or smaller stakes, and everyone has their own opinion on what "HIVE should be"... Some don't like to see people posting every day, or people posting multiple times per day, or people posting only an image, etc. I want to say that you can't please everyone...
When I went to the #HiveBeeCon meetup in Poland last year, and did a post about it, I didn't expect that 2-3 whale accounts wouldn't like that so much that they muted almost all accounts for every participant... I'm telling you this just to show you how some actions have no sense at all... 😃
All in all, I stopped worrying about the "whale support", and focused more on my content, and on people who support me, and I'm trying to support as much as possible them with my own manual curation, with my own stake...
The result is what you can see in this post... Not that big upvotes, but a lot of comments and support, which is more than I could even imagine! That's what counts and that's why I'm here... To support each other and to grow together!!!

Congrats on that huge milestone! I've also had my eye on it for awhile. Will likely be another 6-12 months for me until new job settles out and bonus time comes around. To your point, this is also my "Blue Chip" pick for multiple reasons, the biggest is that we can continue to watch it grow through authoring and curation even when we're not investing hard dollars and then watch those numbers just grow even more when the price goes up!

No I didn't. I didn't plan for it so I had few or no hive to power up. But maybe next month. Besides I powered down some of my hive earlier this year because I needed the cash to solve a pressing problem. But I'm trying to stop powering down and try building my HP over the years.
