School memories from 2 years ago||Third Trimester Fields Practical Project(TTFPP)

in Education3 years ago
I still remember our school project from 2 years when we embarked on the Third Trimester field practical project, TTFPP in our first year University for Development Studies. It is a project structured to integrate on-campus learning with field practical work. Because we do this project in rural communities, most people just call it Community

My community was called Kotintabig. Don’t even bother searching on google maps cos you won’t find it😅. We didn't when we searched either. We went there somewhere around July 2019 and I have to say we had some our best and worst life experiences there.

My group had 10boys living in one room and 2 girls living in another. I wouldn't really call them rooms, more like classrooms😅. If you ever had to go home, you'd have to first take a motorking(tricycle) to another town where you'll get a trotro or taxi and from there you proceed to the nearest town Bolgatanga to board a car home.

We stayed there for 7 weeks doing data collection, did our final presentations and left for home again. The data we collected almost seemed like that which is taken in population census questionnaires. During our stay and before we left, we were given about 3 goats and this one right here was on the day we left just after our presentation.

We bathed and dressed up quiet professionally in attempts to score high marks for appearance and our effort was not in vain because we did. Don't mind my dressing, I took the combination thing too serious.😅

While waiting for our lecturers or assessors as we called them, we rehearsed our presentation. We put all the data we collected on a flipboard for our presentation.

In less than 2 hours after we rehearsed, our assessors came knocking and boy were we glad to see them. We took a couple pictures together after the presentation and waited for our departure bus.

It was a really nice and memory marking experience for us. My friends from Ghanaian Universities can relate😂

Thanks for reading

PS: I am the smallest in the group in a white top with a snow white black tie, black pants with a black shoe and white sock😊

Beautiful memories are enjoyable when shared with friends.
Look at how happy you all looked, no matter how stressful it was, the fact that another person was always there to support the other makes it fun..
They goat looks like she's glad to see y'all.

I'm glad the project defence went well.

Thanks for sharing my friend.
I'll love to visit Ghana sometime ❤️😌

Precisely. Our interactions with the inhabitants of the community was really nice too. I didn’t mention in my post that we taught the students in the Junior High School because unfortunately I can’t find pictures on that. Man you should’ve seen us, the students actually thought we were teachers and our parting was really sad when our time was up to leave. We were supposed to have gone back last year in our second year but COVID happened and we didn’t go. It was fun over there despite all the struggles😁

Ohhh, I would have loved to see those pictures. I'm sure the students were really excited to have such vibrant young teachers. Must have been really hard to leave them too but I'm sure you took a lot of the memories with you
I'm sorry about that. They'll be a next time hopefully.

Thank you for your warm reply!!

🥂 Cheers

We practically became a family… Anyways it was really nice interacting with you.

Good post my friend

Thank you😊
