Being a teacher requires helping better the lives of students, not only through essential learning abilities such as arithmetic, reading, and science but also through responsibility, analysis and self-confidence.
Nothing makes a teacher happier than seeing their students succeed and knowing that they have helped to prepare them for the future. Many teachers enjoy their teaching careers because of the rewarding aspects of the job.
Having an Impact on the Future of their students
As a teacher, you are providing children with the skills they need to succeed in the real world. It makes no difference at what stage of a child's life this occurs, so whether you're teaching five-year-olds letter sounds or high schoolers about photosynthesis, you're giving them what they need to go on and do bigger and better things and build on those skills.
You make learning enjoyable.
When you make lessons more fun and enjoyable for your students, they will come into your classroom eager to learn, and there is nothing better than seeing your students eager to learn. Reading about a topic is great, but putting it into action is even better, such as conducting an experiment or completing a specific type of art project while learning new skills.
When learning is enjoyable, children are often eager to tell their parents about their adventures.
You get to work in a fun, creative environment.
Classrooms are no longer drab and dull, with the only color present being that of the textbooks. Classrooms are now vibrant, fun places to learn where creativity is encouraged.
Teachers are frequently given some leeway in terms of how they want to arrange their classrooms. It should evoke a positive mood and foster a pleasant learning environment. You get to make it a welcoming environment where your students (and you!) want to spend their days. How many other professions give you the opportunity to do that?
Every day is unique and exciting.
Every day is different when you're a teacher; there's no mundane or repetitive work here! Sure, you'll have to grade papers, attend routine meetings, and complete paperwork, but no two days will be the same. Every day, you and your students will work on different tasks, and they will never bore you!
Every day is a new opportunity to work with young minds and teach them new things. Every day, however, you will notice the smiles on the children's faces as they work and play in the classroom you have set up for them.
Assist in their Development of Self-Esteem
Teaching is more than just memorizing ABCs and 123s. It is about instilling confidence in students in order to provide them with the motivation to succeed. Academically, this could mean assisting a child with a particularly difficult lesson.
Spending that little bit of extra time to help them through a difficult situation and seeing how excited they are when they begin to make connections makes it all worthwhile.
This isn't just about academics; it can also be about making friends, getting encouragement to present in front of the class, or even getting some advice on what to do for the future and applying to university. You are your students' biggest cheerleader at school, so tell them so and give them the self-confidence they need to keep going.
