How hard do you work towards achieving what seems impossible?

At some point in my life, I just felt like leaving some things the way they are, but there are those particular ones where I try to let go, yet my mind keeps being uneasy. Yeah, I don't know if it's just my nature, but it is just natural for everyone. It depends on what your entitlement is. A few years ago, I was just hoping to get admission into college, seeing that there was no time again to keep pursuing my goal.

My intentions were to get admitted to study MBBS (Bachelor in Medicine and Bachelor in Surgery). So I worked hard, not minding the background I am from, the school I was in, or the environment in which I find myself. Taking you through my high school education can develop emotions, but a summary of it all is that I went to a school where the major science courses had no teachers, and these subjects were the major criteria for passing JAMB. I had to be my personal teacher, buying books that could help me hold a grip on what was necessary.

Luckily for me, my first JAMB (Joint Admission and Matriculation Board) was good but wasn't enough for MBBS, but I had hope and didn't carry out the change of course, so I left it there. After that year, I had to work harder and bury myself in books to see how the result would be this time around. Just after it, my result was good, but I didn't want to risk the year again, so I went for a less competitive course. I gained admission on the merit list, but people around me, based on the history of the course I just found myself in, were scared of how I would excel.

I summed up courage and faced it the way it was. Today I am happy I went through that journey with the courage and belief I can rewrite my story. Why do I have to go through this story line? I met a friend who was like-minded, relentless, and ready to achieve what he couldn't initially.

Even in my field of study (Anatomy), he kept on writing jamb with impressive scores but hasn't been so lucky to be admitted. In a conversation with him, he introduced me to the new editions of materials he purchased for proper preparation for the forthcoming jamb. This alone inspired me to do more to ascertain what is needed.
The idea here is that there is always a different angle from which solutions can come; keep searching.
