Previously we looked at praying.

We said that when we talked to God it's called prayer.
Another big thing that we must ask God when we pray, is to forgive our sins?

What is sin?

Sin is when we break the law of God. God gave us His law in the Bible to teach us what sin is.

This law of God is called The 10 Commandments.

• Commandment 1
  You must love God more than anything else.
  It's difficult to understand how you love God more than your mommy and daddy. But as you grow up and learn to love God, you will understand this better and better.

• Commandment 2
  God must be the most important in your live. Like your Daddy that works hard for you and your mommy, it's a good thing. But if Daddy just work and work and just want to make more and more money, forgetting about God, then its a bad thing and a sin.

• Commandment 3
  You must not misuse God's name. His Name is above every other Name and we should not use it just when we feel like it. His Name is Holy. Some people uses God's name to cuss. That is very bad. We can use God's name when we pray and when we talk to other people about God.

• Commandment 4
  God gave us a day to rest. Nowadays we rest on Sunday. God don't want us to work on Sunday. He want us to think about Him and go to church. Sunday is God's day.

• Commandment 5
  This Commandment say you must honor and respect your parents. This mean you must listen to mommy and daddy. You must always speak nice to mommy and daddy.
  There is a promise with this commandment, that says if you keep this commandment, God will let you live a long life.

• Commandment 6
  You should never kill anyone or even think to hurt or kill anyone.

• Commandment 7
  You must be faithful to your wife or husband. When 2 people got married like your mommy and daddy did, they must stay married to the end of their lives. God dont like divorce.

• Commandment 8
  Don't steal anything from anybody. If something is not yours, leave it alone, you are not allowed to take it.

• Commandment 9
  You must never tell a lie. You must always tell the truth. Never try to hide things, always just tell the truth.

• Commandment 10
  You must not want other people's things. You must be happy with what you have. If your friend had a very beautiful doll, you must be happy that she has it and not want it for yourself.

So that is the lists of sins that God gave us. So if we did something wrong during the day, tonight we must ask God to forgive us. He wants to forgive us but He wants us to ask for forgiveness.
