Worksheet on reading comprehension: for students in lower and upper class.

Preamble

Reading is one of the four language skills that every student ought to learn and practice regularly. It is my believe that this worksheet will be able to teach kids how to read as well as develop their comprehension.

Two men are friends. They lived near each other. One man is tall and the other man is short. The tall man is Akin. The short man is Eze. One day, when they were hungry and had no food to eat, Akin said to Eze, “Let us go and pick some fruits”. They found an orange tree. The tree is big and high. There are oranges on it. The hands of the tall man could not reach the orange on the tree neither could the hands of the short man reach them also. They were very angry that they could not get the fruit to eat. Then someone came by and saw them standing looking at the orange tree sadly. The man asked why they were looking worried and they responded that the needed some fruits to eat but could not reach the orange tree, the man advised them that they should help each other. “But how?” Eze asked, then they were told that the short one should climb on the tall man’s shoulders. So Eze climbed on the shoulder of Akin to pick the oranges. They were very happy but they forgot to thank the man who help them with the idea about how they could pluck the orange.
