Movie review~ Nightbitch

in CineTVyesterday

A lot of people might say, "Hey! I was scrolling through my social media feeds when I saw this movie's trailer. After watching it, I was hooked and had no choice but to download the entire movie." Unfortunately, I'm not in that category. You might be wondering what category I belong to.

Well, I’m the type of person who logs into the movie download site and browses the latest uploads, clicking the download button without any prior knowledge. That’s exactly what happened with this particular movie. At first, I was intrigued by the title “Nightbitch.” I expected it to feature a character with a late-night lifestyle, but once I clicked on it and read the description, I realized there was much more to it than just the title.

The Plot:
The film tells the story of an artist who puts her career on hold to be a stay-at-home mother for her two-year-old son. Her husband often works late and isn’t home frequently, leaving her as the primary caregiver. Over time, she finds herself increasingly isolated from the world around her and develops feelings of resentment toward the other mothers she encounters. During a visit to a bookstore for some quality time with her son, she begins to experience unusual physical changes, such as hair growing in unexpected places in her body, leading her to believe she is slowly turning into a dog. She even visits the library to read books about mythical transformations.

I'll stop here to avoid spoiling the movie for you—I encourage you to watch it for yourself.

My Views:
First and foremost, I want to acknowledge that being a parent is not an easy task. Imagine giving up a career to focus solely on taking care of a child, which can lead to feelings of isolation from the outside world. Parents truly are amazing.

The movie accurately portrays the lifestyle of some stay-at-home mother. This life isn't for the faint-hearted; staying at home every day of the week can be challenging. While this particular mother had potential friendships available to her, she chose to distance herself because she felt the other mothers had different values: "They liked the things she hated." Fortunately, she eventually opened herself up to accepting their beliefs and understanding them better.

Overall, I found it to be a great movie, and I would rate it an 8/10. The remaining points are for the time I invested in watching it. I recommend this movie to anyone interested—give it a try!

Interesting movie! It is very common to see young moms giving up from their career to take care of their kids it is an important thing to show and how they struggle with that.

Yeah. Very important where they have to focus on their kids.
