This is my first post on hive, i hope you enjoy it.

What can I say about Christian Bale that hasn't already been said? an actor who can easily fulfill the screen with his presence and at same time not having any barrier for expanding those complex characters, a man with a commitment so strong for his roles that involve and compromise his own body.

¿Qué puedo decir de Christian Bale que no se haya dicho ya? un actor que fácilmente puede llenar la pantalla con su presencia y al mismo tiempo no tener ninguna barrera para expandir esos personajes complejos, un hombre con un compromiso tan fuerte por sus papeles que involucran y comprometen su propio cuerpo.

An American Psycho who always has to return some tapes, a night vigilante who dresses like a bat and beat up criminals,a man mentally and physically destroyed by insomnia because he choose to forget some things from his past, or, soon, an alien who swears to kill all the gods.

All of those characters can be played by this one man and even if the movie can't be good enough to be remembered for life, it will always be hard to say that Bale didn't do a good job.

Why is Bale my favorite actor can have a simple answer at the first paragraph of this post. The presence, the presence of the actor its important, by presence i mean security and charisma, Bale is that actor you can trust to guide you into the heart of any film, no matter if its an action blackbuster, a serious drama, a politic comedy o even a ... well, whatever genre American Psycho was.

And, this last movie i think its his most interesting role, a very strange, violent and crazy movie about a high society man drived by a kind of sociopath disorder, all these makes asalad of madness seasoned with a very dark sense of humor. And the olive of this salad is the magnificent performance of Christian Bale as Patrick Bateman, a character that can be remenbered like a psycho icon at the level of Alex Delarge or Norman Bates.

Y, esta última película creo que es su papel más interesante, una película muy extraña, violenta y loca sobre un hombre de la alta sociedad impulsado por una especie de trastorno sociópata, todo esto hace una ensalada de locura sazonada con un sentido del humor muy oscuro. Y la aceituna de esta ensalada es la magnífica interpretación de Christian Bale como Patrick Bateman, un personaje que puede recordarse como un icono psicópata al nivel de Alex Delarge o Norman Bates.

If i have to recall a scene, just one, that impressed me and still pops out in my mind until today, is that one when Patrick (Bale) makes a quick review of the album Sports by uey Lewis & The News while he kills his boss Paul Allen (Jared Leto) in American Psycho, with Hip to be Square as soundtrack. Just spot on.

Si tengo que recordar una escena, solo una, que me impresionó y todavía me viene a la mente hasta el día de hoy, es aquella en la que Patrick (Bale) hace una reseña rápida del álbum Sports de Huey Lewis & The News mientras mata a su el jefe Paul Allen (Jared Leto) en American Psycho, con Hip to be Square como banda sonora. Simplemente perfecta.
