Congrats on winning honorable mention in the contest! Oh yes, this film is a great one, watched it a few times. Also the song Shape of My Heart is unforgettable, though strangely I never associated it with the film. But I agree, it fits it quite well, being gloomy and pensive, while ultimately optimistic.
