I believe everyone has that favorite childhood movie that impacted their lifestyles in more ways than one.
For some it was the action and battles of Power Rangers, for other's maybe a few looks at the disney princesses Ariel and Jasmine, but I wasn't troubled by such bizarre taste in movies.
I loved it wild and free, as though I was a man bred and raised wearing loincloths in the jungle.
TARZAN
Plot
Surviving a shipwreck with his mother and father, then they later being killed by a leopard. Tarzan gets taken and raised by a group of Jungle Gorillas.
For years he survived, lived and thrived in the jungle before it has another set of human visitors.
Jane, her father and the hunter disguised as a guard. Tarzan has to choose his path, family or species.
One thing the Disney show's of the oast had a knack for was disguising extremely deep values and thoughts into mild playful shows for children to digest.
Rewatching the cartoons of old with a more experienced and thoughtful mind gave me a whole new perspective on their plots and stories, this one especially.
It's always been known that humans originated from Gorillas, yet can we actually relate with them? Can they with us?
So much questions I had after this show because it was just so good, but first the mentions of what I liked.
- The Animation.
It may just be nostalgia, but I just have to commend the animation of this show.
It has this lovely homely approach that makes the characters simply stay memorable in the brain.
The choice of colors and tints were impeccable and everything gave off the atmosphere the plot needed at that particular time.
It's a type of animation that simply sucks you into the story.
- The Choreography
This was highly impressive, although given that the location was the jungle, the characters had a lot to work with.
Yet the fact that so many were animals and way less humanoid than plenty other shows, what was interesting the most was how they moved in tune to the music...
The music choice with Disney is wonderful as always, but see those moves!!
I've also always assumed escape and fighting maneuvers as choreography and in all of Disney Old Gen movies, no sliding maneuver is more impressive than Tarzan.
- Family and Fitting in.
Family is simply the major plot issue of the movie.
Tarzan loosing his parent then gaining the gorilla troops as a family.
He then struggles to settle in, then just after he has settled in, he finds Jane and everything switched.
We see Tarzan deciding upon which family to choose; Those that look like him or those he's stayed with throughout the years.
Despite such an easy plot, the movie steals the hearts of the viewer.
It was such a pleasure to watch and re-experience this show ✨

A tremendous gem of animation from the 2000s, as well as being one of my favorite Disney animated films.
Good review.
Tarzan is truly an epic animation. The kind that doesn't fade away or lose beauty even after these many years. Great choice. Thank you for sharing.

A classic animated movie from Disney. I saw this movie when I was a child.
