Stimulating film based on real events that has a lot of praise for the Army (or at least part of it) of the United States of America, but it is worthwhile for its unquestionable merits.

It is very entertaining, touching at times, emotionally charged and interesting throughout.

There is no lack of sappy scenes, but they are acceptable for being inserted in a hard, moving, real story that took place in Europe during World War II.

The protagonists were 855 black women, who enlisted in the Army and were given an arduous and almost impossible task to perform: to sort and send thousands and thousands of letters that the soldiers sent to their loved ones and those they should have received.

Letters that for almost three years were in sacks, with no one to take care of them. The story of that postal battalion, of which I had no idea of its existence, is very interesting, so it can almost be seen as a documentary. Although they throw in a love story to make the film more appealing, it doesn't squeak either and ties in well with the plot.

The film tells the story of the soldiers' efforts and the humiliation they received from their white superiors.

Kerry Washington is a success in her leading role, as well as a sweet Ebony Obsidian, who are the most outstanding in a cast that has interesting moments and others a little overacted that feel a little uncomfortable.

It is a very enjoyable film, which can be watched with pleasure and without problems because it is clearly narrated.

I liked it despite, I repeat, an excess of sugar in some moments, underlined by a nice but very repetitive soundtrack.

But I think it is worth it for telling some very little known facts.

It is amazing, I would like to watch the film, it should be marvellous for me
