RE: Automobile Zeitreise / Automobile time travel 1950 "Cisitalia 202 Gran Sport" Deutsch / Englisch

Oh wow, I've never even heard of Cisitalia before, and honestly I think I've been missing out. That Vignale-penned bodywork is heart-achingly beautiful, and it reminds me quite a lot of the Ferrari 155 Inter. Too bad they're no longer with us, however. Also, what's the story behind that BMW logo on the front fenders?

Sort:

This is not a BMW symbol, but "Club de Automoviles Sport Argentina" This is an organization for sports cars if I remember correctly.

Oh, indeed it is! I really did think that was a Bavarian roundel for a moment. The resemblance is uncanny...

Yes, it's very quick, just take a look at the EMW symbol. BMW immediately filed a lawsuit. So there are many symbols that look similar to one another.

Oh, indeed! I think most of us have become accustomed to associating the roundel logo with BMW, that I didn't consider that loads of other carmakers had similar logos, too.

is already crazy

I guess BMW's copyright lawyers have done a great job over the decades then, given how little of the roundel we see outside of a Bimmer.
