Learnings are everywhere. No one haven't experienced of no learning at all. Everyone learn from everyday life routine not only inside the classroom. If a person just know on how to think everything we had been in life, then he will learn from it. But then, because we were human we can't think of everything we did especially if we don't feel the thing we did as special. But the fact that we have the duty for making our life better, we learn.

Duty as a teacher.

The duty of a teacher is not just to impart learnings about on how to solve numbers and speak fluently with languages especially English. The duty of a teacher is beyond more than that and one of it is to teach good character and mold every students into a better person. To teach learners into good individual who will be a good and productive for the future. Molding and teaching students for almost 60 students in a classroom is hard especially that the students came from different family culture. Teachers are not perfect but we do our best to make things better for the students.

I have an advisory class. Meaning, I need to look for those students as their father figure and guide them. Everything that will happen to them inside the four corners of the campus will reflect on me and sometimes outside the school. The hard thing being an adviser is not only about gathering outputs especially grades of the students but also about their behavioral instructor. I have 54 advisories and honestly, some of them are hard to discipline especially the boys. That's teh reason I need to firm. Just last week, I started to be firm from them. I need to let them know that I am like their father who is passionate but at the same time showing them that I am their superior. Why I do so? It's because I noticed them being over confident and seems not knowing the limitation. I know that they noticed the little change from me but then I saw the good thing happened after what I did. They're not that noisy anymore and follow orders.

The other day, I called one of my advisory. I noticed since first day of full class face to face that he only wore one shirt and pants. Like he will be present on Monday and absent on Tuesday but during Wednesday, the shirt he wore on Monday was the same. That's why I told my wife to prepare my old clothes and other clothes that I am not wearing anymore. I then asked him to go to our house so that I can give the clothes. When he came to our house, I gave the clothes even those new ones. He was very thankful of me and my wife. We also knew that he was alone in their house and just supported himself alone. Upon hearing his story, I and my wife felt sorry for him. My wife even gave him viand and some groceries that she got in our kitchen. She said atleast he have viand for 3 to 4 days. You see, even if outside the school, as teacher we should have heart to our students. We can't stop ourself to feel sorry for those studnets who need guidance even sometimes some parents don't understand us.

A duty of a teacher will always be there and no ending. Because even those retired teacher were still able to have time to give advice and share what they learn from the service like imparting their memories of being a good teacher. With that, some will still learn and motivated to do their duty as a teacher. Teaching may not be the best job for everyone as they say it's tiring which is true but to tell you honestly it's fullfilling especially when you see how the students change to better and will have good future.

What I've learn from this unending duty?
Though I'm striving hard almost everyday, I still saw the better things that is happening on me as a teacher. My students help me a lot and changed me into who I am. The patience that I thought I don't have before seems keeping in line. Though I snap sometimes and started to be out of cool, just seeing them especially those who have a hard life because of their status in life, I able to compose myself that this children needs my advice than sermons the reason I ended telling myself what if I'm in their position. But also, I learned from them that diacipline will still be there and being firm with decision is a must. Now that students can't go out during lunch dur to many accident near our school, some of my students asked me for a gate pass but I tried my best not to give them and wgat I did when they said they don't have food was giving them a penny to buy or just say let them borrow because some of them don't accept the money which I don't have plans to ask for return. And when that started, I realized that many of my students is really havung a hard life especially the boys who usually don't have snacks and lunch. And I learned the resson why some of them took some abscences because they need to look for money.

Upon seeing my advisory during lunch and even on class, I promised myself that I won't let my son suffer with my decisions in life that will lead him to be like my students. I don't want to see my son in the future taking abscences just to look for money or don't have lunch. It's so painful that I wished if only I'm rich, I'll surely treat my students with food not only with academics.

That's all for today everyone. Need to rest for awhile. Don't have enough sleep coz I need to look for my wife who is not yet feeling well for 5 days and last night our son got fever until now. I fo hope they both get well.
