Hiking Diaries 2013 to Madhuban in Jharkhand, India

in Photography Lovers4 years ago

Back in 2013 O had HTC phone ( it was sub 100 dollars phone). Now HTC is no where in market. But this post is not about HTC. It is about the pictures and natural beauty on the hills.

About the Location: Parasnath Hill

Parasnath is a hill station famous for its pilgrimage track which is about 27 kms long. Its a holy site for Jains around the world. Jainis is a religion whcih believes in Ahimsa ( Non violennce). You can read more about it on wikipedia. So every year in the rainy season, millions of Jains come to these hills to complete the pilgrimage. There are about 27 temples on the hill spread across 9 kms.
You have to cover 9 kms before you reach the first templpe and the whole temple track is spread in 9 kms. So all in all its 27 Kms.

first 9 kms are quite chalenging as you have to cross 4 smaller hills but 2 of them are quite an challenge. But when dawn comes on you have views like this :

But the best part is sunrise and sun set, even from the foot of hills you get some really good shots. Needless to say these pics are taken from a very old phone camera so you can see the graininess and over processing from phone in it. But none the less in my oppiniun the picture came like an art work.

Cloud formation behind Temple. At the village of Madhuban.
