Venezuela and also in Colombia and Guyana.

The mamón is a small, circular fruit with a strong shell,
and rough dark green inside has a smooth salmon-colored pulp with a sweet and sour taste.

El mamón es una fruta pequeña de forma circular, de cáscara fuerte,
y áspera de color verde oscuro en su interior tiene una pulpa suave de color salmón con un sabor dulce y ácido.

Preparation:

Para realizar el caramelo se coloca en una cacerola medio kilogramo de azucar a fuego medio hasta q se derrita el azucar y forme un almíbar de color marron.

una vez listo el caramelo se agraga el kilogramo de mamon ya sin conchas y se empieza a mezclar a fuego alto.
